Need to replace the liftgate switch, where can I get instructions to do that?

How do you know it need's a switch ?
Rear Hatch/Gate Description and Operation
The lift gate can be opened by operating the switch on the instrument panel. Battery voltage is supplied to the lift gate actuator through the body control module (BCM). The BCM will pulse the lift gate actuator when a release input is received through the key fob, or the instrument panel switch. Did you test voltages ? Check for BCM DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ?
Circuit/System Description
The lift gate switch is an input to the body control module (BCM). The BCM supplies battery voltage to the signal circuit and when the lift gate switch is activated the signal circuit voltage goes low. The BCM controls the lift gate release actuator assembly through the LIFTGATE relay. When the lift gate switch signal is activated, the BCM enables the LIFTGATE relay by applying battery voltage to the lift gate relay circuit and the relay is energized when the BCM grounds the LIFTGATE relay control circuit. When the relay is energized battery voltage is supplied to the lift gate release actuator assembly through the lift gate release actuator control circuit.

My hatch won't release from the remote or the door switch. No solenoid sound at the hatch. How do I get it to open if it's not a bad fuse?

There are actually three relays , an there are controlled by the BCM - body control module !
When a door lock switch is activated in the lock or unlock position the BCM will receive a voltage signal on either the door lock switch lock or unlock signal circuits.
The BCM, upon receipt of a lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate lock relay control circuits to battery positive voltage. This will energize the appropriate lock or unlock relays. The relay will supply voltage to the door lock actuator lock or unlock control circuits to one side of the lock actuator. Since the opposing side of the lock actuators are connected to ground through the other lock actuator control circuit and the normally closed contacts of the lock or unlock relay, the doors and liftgate will then lock or unlock appropriately.
Three relays are used to operate the locks. DRV DR UNLCK relay, PASS DR UNLOCK and DR LCK relay. This is done to isolate the driver door lock actuator so it can be unlocked by itself using the keyless entry transmitter.
Rear Hatch/Gate Description and Operation
The liftgate can be opened by operating the switch on the instrument panel. Battery voltage is supplied to the liftgate actuator through the body control module (BCM). The BCM will pulse the liftgate actuator when a release input is received through the key fob, or the instrument panel switch.
Door/Lift gate Latch Assembly
  1. Install a 20-A fused jumper wire between the control terminal 3 and 12 volts. Install a jumper wire between the ground terminal 2 and ground.
  2. Verify the actuator turns on & off.

If the function does not perform as specified, replace the applicable door latch.

My whirlpool lgn2000jq2. Had an incident where the drum kept turning after I opened the door. I turned the cycle dial to turn it off. Now the light inside comes on when I open the door, but with thedoor...

Sounds like your door switch is bad. When you open your door the the door switch is supposed to shut off the motor to prevent someone from breaking an arm, by reaching into a rotating drum. First check to make sure that your switch actuator is not jammed or broken. This little arm is usually behind the door at the top of the recessed area. When you close the door it actuates the switch. When you press on the arm you should hear a click. Replace the switch or check the actuator if you don't hear a click. (some switches come with the arm and some are seperate from the actuator arm.) Good luck, Appliance Specialists

Is there a cluch in sliding gate motor

There is no internal clutch for the linear actuator gate motors... only a mechanical limit switch(micro-switch) which is only relevant in the arm-retracting motion, and a sight-wheel & eye which is used for electronic limits in the arm-extending motion.

The rear hatch seem to be jammed or stuck it wont open at all how can i get it open

Crawl thru the front to the rear of the truck, Remove the two screws on the gate release handle (they are underneath the handle, two philips).
Gently pull on the plastic panel by the release handle, it will come out about 4 inches, it should be enough if you have a small arm (which I have.) I wedged a plastic 20oz bottle between the rear gate and the inner plastic panel, to keep the plastic held out, don't over stress the plastic it will break if its old enough, look down from the window hatch about 5 inches or so and notice the 2" x 3" opening, there is a lever in there that is moved by the actuator, and a piece of plastic (which is what my friends truck needs, if someone has a part number or aftermarket please advise) but if you reach in to that access panel, there is a slide that moves from right (looking at the gate from the inside) to left, moving it to the left (Opens the window)
Apon opening the window, remove the plastic bottle, and open the rear gate hatch, when the hatch is open there are two screws one on the left side of the gate, and on the right side.I hope this helps you out, remember: don't overstress the plastic, strip out the screws, or break the window..
Once you have everything out, you can replace the actuator or fix the wire leads that may have come loose form the rear door actuator keep you from opening the rear window.
Good luck and thank you for using fixya

No heat from driver side

The vent actuator door may have gone bad and needs to be replaced. The common problem is not the motor but the actuator gears crack and break, but try to reset the actuator buy disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it first, but make sure the radio is turned off before you do that. If the actuator lost it's position, this procedure will reset the actuator's position if it's lost and don't know where to turn the vent doors.

This is how to replace drivers side or the passenger side actuator. Passenger side difference is noted at end of this letter. My 2000-2005 Chevy Impala driver side climate control was stuck on cold, no matter where I switched it to. The light on the panel was also out. Resetting by disconnecting the battery did not work. I had to buy and replace the drivers side actuator (Part Number 15844096 - $38.46 at Chevy dealer). The passenger side actuator is also the exact same part number. They are both located under the dash, about equal height as the climate control knobs. Make sure you disconnect the positive cable on the battery before removing the switch. Drivers side actuator is accessed by removing the bottom dash cover on the drivers side. Two easy clips to disconnect the dash cover, remove the floor courtesy light by twisting, and the cover comes right out. The drivers side actuator is harder to work on than the passenger side, due to room. But I replaced my actuator with only having to take off the bottom dash cover. There are two screws holding the actuator on. I used a 1/4 hand driver with a 3" extension, a 1/4 universal joint for the 1/4 socket (and the universal is needed), and a 7/32" socket. These were the only tools I needed. After unscrewing the two screws, I pulled the actuator off of a small arm it is connected to which switches the flap for the climate control system between hot or cold. I then was able to let it hang down, and disconnected the wire running to the actuator. Room was an issue, and I did some of this by feel. Now comes the tricky part. The new actuator has to slide back on the small arm, but it is flat on two sides, with rounded ends. The new actuator has to match the flat ends to the same position as the old actuator. I hooked the wire onto the new actuator, and let it hang down. I held the old actuator up by it, and had my wife hold the battery connector to the battery to get power. The new actuator will rotate when the connection is made, and stopped rotating when I had my wife pull the connector from the battery. It took a couple tries, but I finally got it to stop at the same position as the old actuator. I then lined up the new switch, and got it on the control arm. This took a few minutes and tries, as I had to do it by feel. I then put the two screws back in and tightened them down. Again, tricky due to room. Once done, I put the cover back on, reconnected battery, and warmed up the car. Was very happy to find that I now had heat on the drivers side, as Canadian weather is cold this time of year.
The whole job took me about an 1 1/2 hour to do.
Also, note if you have to replace the passenger side actuator, you need to remove the passenger side bottom cover on the dash. You then remove the glove compartment door by removing the five screws on the bottom of the door. Slide the whole glove compartment door out of the car. You will be happy to know you have much more room to replace the passenger side actuator, so it should be much easier and quicker than the drivers side.

Good luck and you may want to inspect the passenger side actuator also.

Paper jam on back rollers

If it jams every time while printing only 1 page and stops just past the exit of the fuser unit, it is most likely that there is a problem with the paper exit sensor on the fuser unit. We have many of the 1700N printers and have seen several times that the paper exit sensor actuator arm gets broken off when removing a paper jam.
