Question about Bose Wave Radio
Try removing the cover and clean glass laser eye lens with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab. If cleaning doesn't work, then laser lens circuit will need to be tested and replaced. You can use an ohmmeter to test the capacitors and circuit.

If this is not happening on all CDs it could have to do with the way they were recorded. Home-brew CDs are sometimes recorded at speeds that make the optical dots too small for some commercial CD players to read. The faster a CD is recorded, the less time the laser spends at a particular position and the smaller the dots. I have personally experienced this problem with the Bose Wave radio
