If the convergence adjusts ok in the customer mode do not worry about the "overload" it only has to do with the Magic focus feature---

There is a way to overcome that but It is tricky and one wrong move and you have real problems--it involves DECAM--de-converging and clearing the set's memory of the convergence adjustments--It means the convergence has to be adjusted from scratch--I have seen this done by an expert and I have done it but no one not totally familiar with the process should attempt it.

You know there is a Tech Menu for fine adjustment of the convergence?

That is not hard to access but I have a Hitachi book that tells which buttons on the Hitachi remote do what in this mode---The remote will have on the face of it a CLU number--tells which remote it is.

If the convergence adjusts do not worry about the Magic focus--it only adjusts the convergence at about 16 places on the screen---in the Tech menu you adjust at over 60 places--much better way to go.

Get me the Clu number on your remote and I can scan the page from Hitachi---we will need to find a way for me to get it to you...............

Programming the cn101a timer

CN101A programmable weekly digital timer
Buttons
C = Master Clear, erases all program settings and current day/time.
C/R = Control/Reset, used to access programming mode and to clear individual programs.
You must press and hold this button for approximately 4 seconds to enter programming mode if there is a lower case "a" to the left of the time display. The system will revert back to active mode (with the lower case "a" to the left of the time display) after 30 seconds with no buttons pressed.
If this button is momentarily pressed while viewing a program, that program will be erased, but ONLY the On or Off program that is being viewed will be reset. The corresponding On or Off program in that cycle will NOT be reset.
Clock = In programming mode, this button is held depressed at the same time as one of the D+, H+, or M+ buttons to set the current day and time. When editing the programs, this button is used to exit when done.
P = Program select, each press will advance through the On and Off programs (presets). There are 16 On/Off cycles available (1 On, 1 Off, 2 On, 2 Off, ... 16 On, 16 Off).
D+ = Used to change the day when setting the time, or day(s) when changing a program.
When changing a program,
the following 15 different day combinations are available using the "D+" button.
MO; TU; WE; TH; FR; SA; SU; MO/WE/FR; TU/TH/SA; SA/SU; MO/TU/WE; TH/FR/SA; MO/TU/WE/TH/FR; MO/TU/WE/TH/FR/SA; MO/TU/WE/TH/FR/SA/SU.
H+ = used to change the hours when setting the time or a program.
M+ = used to change the minutes when setting the time or a program.
Manual = This button will cycle the output relay from AUTO to Manual OFF, back to AUTO, then to Manual ON, and finally back to AUTO. Programming mode must first be accessed using the C/R button to use the Manual feature. The manual On or Off settings will override all programs until switched back to AUTO.
There is a Lithium Ion battery which is intended to keep the clock going for up to 3 years during loss of external power, but the output relay will not work on internal battery power.

My Technics sa GX350 tuner keeps going into overload. It's the only thing plugged in.

Hi mate, had the same problem with my amp.. Take the top off and there is a fan at the back, there are 2 piece's of copper flat wire that touch together and these do not touch anymore so when its turned up or the bass gets stronger it cuts off as the fan should kick in at this point. If you can get these to touch again (bend them) then the problem will be gone!! I have had to do this a few times now though so this is not a long term fix.. I may try soldering!

Panasonic SA-AK29 Disc Drawer won't stay closed.

It is quite possible that the timing within the mechanism had changed. Since the timing is quite important to activate the mode switch to triggerr the sequential action of the mechanism to proceed accordingly, a small change in any of the links can change the mode to keep away from resetting. Please open the set and check if there is any foreign particles lodged into the dirve mechanism. Clean and proceed. Check carefully for any sensors that are out of sync.If you are not sure do not attempt but try tomake a small correction to complete the loading so as the complete the mode. If so the fault might clear. Hope this helps you out.Good day

The loading mechanism is out of timing sequence and needs to be rebuilt. This unit should be taken to a Panasonic authorized service center for repair. At that time the loading mechanism may be modified according to engineering updates that may apply to your model. I don't have a listing for your specific model, but there were some models that had a change to prevent this type of problem.

There is a problem with the vertical circuit. Many times it is the vertical IC. This is a small flat IC attached to a heat sink. It may be merked LA7838 or something similar. You ca try resoldering the pins as a bad connection can also cause this. If that fails, replace the IC.
Keep us posted,.
