Hp officejet 6310 carriage jam

When i try to print anything, my hp officejet 6310 always tells me theres a carriage jam, how do i fix that?

It require servicing if you can apply the any lubricant on the steel rod inside the printer it will fix your problem if it is not then i advice you to show it to service center.

Try this fix: Using a soft cloth moistened with water, clean the thin plastic strip you'll see along the path of the ink carriage. Be gentle and wipe gently. Move the carriage over and clean the part you uncovered, There may be residual ink that will cover some of the fine lines on the strip that the printer uses to move the carriage.You should use latex gloves as that ink can get on your hands and it doesn't wash off easily.

HP 6310 carriage jam then a message to shut down

If the 6310 has been in service for awhile, the printhead runner dries out. Try liberally spraying the printhead runners with WD-40. With the power off, slide the carriage to the left and spray the runners in the parking area.

Reading Carriage Jam

Check all areas of the printer for any JAMS or anything that will stop it from printing and if this is unsuccessful then turn of you computer and take off the printer from the PC and reconnect it and wait bout 5 mins.

Then turn it on and the problem will have dsiappeared.

Repeated "carriage jam" error, but NO real jam!

Error - carriage jam message

SolutionStep one: Perform a power reset and connect the printer directly into the electrical outlet Remove all the paper loaded in the main input tray.
Make sure that the product is turned off. 
Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the product.
Disconnect the power cord from the product.
Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and wait 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord directly into the electrical outlet and check for the following.
Make sure that the power cord used is the one provided with the product.
If a computer is connected to the product, make sure that the computer is connected to a grounded (three-prong) wall outlet.
Make sure that the power cord is firmly connected to both the product and the power supply.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
Press the power button ( ) to turn on the product.
Reconnect the USB cable to the back of the product.
If the issue is resolved, proceed to Step six: Print a self-test page.
If the issue continues, proceed to the next step.
