Question about Sony XPLOD CDX-GT200 CD Player
I just put a new CDX-GT360S in my 2006 Toyota Corolla, CD Player works great, Receives great on FM, picking up a lot of stations however the AM and SW (Shortwave) bands are totally dead. I would of course suspect the antenna or connector might be the problem but it is receiving FM just fine ! Any help or suggestions are welcome.
IT IS NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL, MOST CARS NOWADAYS DON'T HAVE SHORTWAVE ANTENNAS, THEY OFTEN COME WITH ANTENNAS SUITABLE FOR FM STATIONS SO WHEN SW DXers LIKE US HAVE CD PLAYERS IN OUR CARS WE SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE IN MIND THAT ANTENNAS MUST BE CHANGED, HERE IS THE SOLUTION.. GO TO A RADIO SHACK OR EBAY AND GET ONE OF THOSE HIGH SW ANTENNAS AND YOU ARE READY TO GO.
HOPE IT HELPS
