First you need to figure out the exact model number of the remote and also have you checked to see if they are compatible? That's all I'm gonna do if you give me the model number, second most remotes have a learn feature so if you still have the original remote you can "copy" the code of certain buttons to the remote you like to use. You provides very vague information. Is this remote original? I never tried to look up your remote because you put "I think" "I don't know" in your model number description and if you don't know I sure don't. Yes the models vary so I would need the right one. If it's not compatible and can't learn buttons the you would need to buy a new one unless the remote allows you to download codes. Good luck
