If ice bucket is mounted in the door, the fill tube in ceiling of freezer may be frozen.this happens due to low water pressure coming to unit.if bucket is mounted inside freezer and not in the door, check fill tube coming to rear of icemaker for clog if frozen- tube can be removed and pulled out from back of appliance. the arms that eject cubes from the ice maker mould should be @ the 10:00 position or 2:00( depends on how you are viewing) if the ejector blades are not in either position they should be in motion,no in between.if not moving, there is a piece of ice hindering the ejectors/tricking the i/m into thinking the bucket is already full

Hello,
Make sure the arm on the icemaker is in the down position,if it is up and locked in place the icemaker is off. If it is down and the icemaker is turned on,each time it got cold enough the to cycle the icemaker(usually about a hour) the icemaker started and for 7 years power was sent to the water inlet valve to fill the icemaker and the icemaker side of the water valve is burnt up. The water valve has 1 inlet teh house water supply attaches to and 2 outlets 1 for icemaker and 1 for door dispenser

Some of my ice cubes are hollow from my ice maker.

Sounds like not enough water is being sent to the icemaker from the water valve. Could be a defective valve or a water pressure problem.

If you have a water dispenser, does it seem to have good water flow?

Ice maker stopped making ice. Water is still coming through to water dispenser

Two possibilities come to mind. The water line to the icemaker could be blocked; however, these lines are fairly large and are not easily clogged.

Assuming that's not the case, the other likely reason is that no water is being moved to the icemaker from the valve at the bottom of the refrigerator. The problem here could lie with the icemaker control unit malfunctioning and not sending the signal to the water valve when water is needed. Or the signal for water is being sent, but the water valve is defective, and no water is sent.

If it were me, I would probably change out the water valve at the bottom of the refrigerator. This is located where the house water enters the refrigerator case.

No water to ice maker

It will only call for water when the thermostat is satisfied. Now if you advance the icemaker when the ejector blade reaches 10 oclock thats when it should call for water. If you dont here the valve humming then it would be in the water switch inside the icemaker. Also make sure the thermostat is not set too cold. if its too cold it will never satisfy your control.

Manually advance : remove the cover on icemaker then turn the small gear counter clockwise

Icemaker on Hotpoint Model HSS25GFPAWW Refrigerator not working

try turning the temperature for the freezer down a little bit. it has to at least be around 17 degrees before the older ice makers start to work.

Icemaker is not working, There is not any water getting to the icemaker. Maytag has sent out there techs 5 diffirent times but I guess the only thing they know how to do is replace the icemaker itself....

THERE ARE TWO VALVES LOCATED AT THE REAR OF THE APPLIANCE ONE FOR THE WATER AND ONE FOR THE ICE.I TAKE IT THAT THE WATER DISPENSER IS WORKING OK AS YOU HAVE NOT MENTIONED THAT ITS ALSO GIVING YOU A PROBLEM.I FIND IT VERY STRANGE THAT MAYTAG TECHNICIANS CANNOT PICK UP THE FAULT IF YOU STILL HAVE NO JOY I SUGGEST YOU GO TO HIGHER MANAGMENT AND GET IT RESOLVED.BUT TRY AND LOCATE THE VALVE AND SEE IF THEY BOTH WORKING.GOODLUCK.MOHAMED

DOES NOT MAKE ICE

yes. remove the cover of the icemaker. if you have brown head on the ice maker with a large white gear in the center, look to make sure both tabs in the center of gear are intact. you should not be able to move this gear at all. if you can the the icemaker isnt tell the valve to put any water in it. replace icemaker head. if it is tight, no movement at all then replace water valve
