Re: data port settings
The "Data Port" is the port you connect to the PC with. Devices can use the parallel port, serial port, or USB port.
The phone should have a "control panel" where you can select this.
Can't find much data, on a Krazer1 phone, but if you know where it's website is, I would suggest you you check for Vista drivers, since Vista handles it ports differently.

your system may probably affected with virus
so scan it with a good one.
also check whether any present antivirus or firewalls block the required software
check the software with the antivirus and the firewall disbled.
if also your computer is virus free if it was once affected it may change the required settings.
recovering of this settings are not so easy.
try any registry repair softwares .
still not okay, then go for format.that will be successful
also check the hardware, check for the usb ports check changing the ports
Restart the computer.
Enter BIOS setup.
Click to "disable" both the COM1 and COM2 (or Serial1 and Serial 2) ports.
Save-and-exit from BIOS setup.
The modem should now be assigned as 'COM1', and should work.
1. Check to make sure the correct modem is selected in the dialer.
2. Make sure there are not multiple modems installed.
3. Uninstall and reinstall the modem.
4. Make sure that no other programs are using your modem. Fax software, Supervoice, etc...
5. Get a new modem, send it back.. Your computer is just fine.
hi there, windows vista, as we all know is more focused on to the security... but it becomes very difficult if it detects other devices as an error...
With vista you can try to run the installation CD for the router, so that the vista knows that there is a driver for that router, without that it will not recognize the router and will keep detecting as an error...
OK. First of all you do not need a special or seperate driver for the Ethernet port. Its factory loaded with your OS.
All you need to do is plug the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on your HP Desktop and then into the LAN port (not the WAN port) of your cable modem.
The second thing is if its only a cable modem, then I suggest you proceed with caution as there is NO built-in firewall on a cable modem. Yes you will get on the net, but you are likely to be attacked with virus the moment you connect. I suggest you check very carefully whether the cable modem (if that's what it is) does/does not have a firewall as you would be very unwise connecting up like that.
Next, forget USB connection to the router/cable modem. That technolgy we've moved on from.. Your Vista shodul be 'plug n play' adn should configure the router for you. obviously that bit isn't so slick on yours.

I have an LG 970 with precisely this stupid problem. In many, many ways, this phone is a complete nuisance. This particular stupidity is a phone setup issue, it cannot be a Mass storage Device and a Data Service at the same time.
Phone, Menu, 9 Settings, 4 Connectivity, 3 USB connection, ...
- select "Mass storage" if you want to access images, sounds etc using Windows Explorer, just like any other USB stick
- select "Data service" if you want to use the LG Mobile Sync application
