The seal on the filter cover- is it cracked, pinched, broken or missing? if so, get a new seal. if it's leaking from the tubes going to it, tighten them with a crescent wrench.

First check your filter for visible signs of leakage. Cuz after tearing the whole white portion to get to the filter hook up to watch what is leaking when it is plugged in, I found out that the piece of **** filter is leaking at the seam. My suggestion is to buy new filter, plug it in, if it still leaks, check for seals and loose tubes.

Water leaking from the water filter inside top right of fridge when getting water on side by side fridgidaire gallery series. How do I correct?

If the filter itself is leaking then you will need to replace the filter, otherwise check the o-rings and lines going to the filter.

Side by side refrig - ice maker and water don't work after replacing the filters. is there a re-set?

Removing a water filter from the inside of your Frigidaire brand refrigerator:

Removing and replacing a water filter - upper right hand corner inside location

Filters situated up front in the refrigerator compartment of Frigidaire-built side-by-side refrigerators are relatively simple to replace. Follow these steps:
  1. Open the door of the refrigerator compartment of your Frigidaire brand side-by-side refrigerator. The filter is located in the upper right hand corner. It has a push button for quick release just to the right of the filter.

  2. Locate the icemaker On/Off power switch and place it in the OFF (o) position.

  3. Push in on the filter release button and pull the filter all the way out to remove it. Remove new filter from its packaging and remove the protective plastic caps. Insert the new filter in the same manner it was removed. Make sure to push in firmly on the filter until you hear the filter cartridge click in place.

  4. Return the icemaker's power switch to the On (l) position.

  5. Condition the filter by running water through the dispenser for about three minutes. This will flush the filter of all fine carbon particles.

  6. In some models, you will have to reset the filter status light. It is located on the ice and water dispenser control panel. Push in on it for ten to fifteen seconds until the green, red, and amber lights flash. If your refrigerator model does not have a filter status light, you should make a note on a calendar, or place a month sticker on your filter to remind you to replace the filter again in six month's time.

Note: Replacing this type of filter is a quick process - there is no need to unplug your refrigerator or shut off the water supply when replacing it. Also, this filter should be replaced every six months.

I have a Frigidaire side by side - FRS26HF6BW2 - It will leak water from the filter cartridge area into the refrigerator. It has done this 3-4 times in the past year but never did this before. Any words of...

I have the exact same issue. If you look closely at your filter, it probably has a crack in it. The workmanship on the filters is apparently horrible and the material is too thin causing it to crack and leak within 2-3 months of purchase. I was replacing filters at $45 each every 2-3 months and complained to Lowe's where I purchased the Refrigerator as it's still under warranty. The sent a repair man who tested my water pressure which was fine and he pointed out the cracks on the last two filters that I had saved. He said he sees this all the time and that there's nothing you can do about it but complain to Frigidaire. Well that's been a waste of my time so either we deal with a leak or we don't use the water dispenser in the door. Maybe if some of us band together and file a law suit against Frigidaire they might listen.
