I lost my adapter to my keyboard and I need to find either a substitute or a new way to turn it on without the adapter, HELP!!!.

Some Casio Keyboards use 9V DC (center negative) others 12V DC (center negative).
If check what voltage your Keyboard use. Generic AC adapters are usually center positive. So you have to invert the wire with a new DC plug to make it center negative,
Easiest is to buy a Casio ac adapter made for your keyboard from a Casio retailer.

I want to know which cable at the back of the radio is negative and which is positive

Is it for a stock or aftermarket radio? If it's for a stock radio you may want to list what kind of car you have.

Most aftermarket cd players have the following wiring diagrams
(+)Red..............12v ignition
(+)Yellow...........12v battery (Memory) Constant Hot
(-)Black............12v Ground
(+)Blue.............12v Power antenna
(+)Blue/white.......12v Remote turn on (amplifier)
Orange...........Dashlight/dimmer
Orange/white.....Dashlight/dimmer
Orange/black.....Dashlight/dimmer
(+)White............Front left positive
(-)White/black......Front left negative
(+)Grey.............Front right positive
(-)Grey/black.......Front right negative
(+)Green............Rear left positive
(-)Green/black......Rear left negative
(+)Purple...........Rear right positive
(-)Purple/black.....Rear right negative

Hope this helps.

Need one 12v 2500mah power cord for flat screen monitor xenon is the brand name and is prob kinda old cheap if possible

I had a similar problem. Here is what I did:

I went to the computer store and I did purchased a generic Laptop power supply that provides 13 Volts @ 2Ah. y display was working fine with it.

You may be able to take the display information (Voltage, amperage, connector size, positive and negative information) and get assistance from a computer store (maybe radio shack, circuit cit... oops, they closed stores, never mind that one. Best buy or any electronic store in your area).

If that doesn't work or you can't get a similar power supply, you can check in e-bay and get one similar like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/12V-DC-Power-Supply-4-Amp-12-Volt-Adapter-LCD-CB-4A-HP_W0QQitemZ380155972539QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item58830fcbbb&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

but you need to be sure about the positive and negative connector.

Good luck.

Picked up the wrong power cord for my car pluged it in and before i could do anything the radio came on then went zzz and a puff of smoke came from the side now it will not come on at all

This unit just uses a regular 12VDC cord, make sure that you have the proper polarity as far as if the center pin is (+) positive or if it is negative (-). Is it still under warranty? Please write me back and I can help you some more as I have one of these.

To wireup 160c Garmin fishfinder, there are seven clored wires. The book shows red and Yellow to hot. Black and blue to ground. Do the white, green and brown connect? Can the black and yellow be connected...

You only need the red and black wires to supply power to the unit. The red positive wire goes to a positive terminal on your battery or positive side of a bus bar or switch, the black negative wire goes to the negative terminal on the battery or negative common bus bar. Do not try to earth the black wire to an aluminum boat hull... You are asking for trouble! Best to run the black wire straight back to the negative battery terminal or negative bus bar that is wired to the negative battery terminal. The other colored wires on the 160C plug are used for interfacing with NMEA2000 compatible devices, like a compatible GPS.

No power to my pioneer gm5300t

arcanum,

good day bro, from your Pioneer amp supply line do you also see a terminal marked as " System controller" ? did you also supply 12V DC to this terminal?

the standard power configuration for Pioneer Car amps would be:

12V Dc (+) supply / ( - ) supply ground / System Controller ( supplied by +12V DC)

12V ( + ) supply and The ( - ) supply ground is for stand by power, once you connect the supply through this terminal you will now have the stand by power but will not power on the unit even the LED power indicator.

System controller terminal, this should be supplied by ( + ) 12V line to power up the amp. this serves as the ON/OFF switch for the amp.

cheers,
mark
