Hello!
I think that isn´t problem hard drive.
Put you hard drive in another comp., and save you data.
When you do that try install new system with full format hard drive.
I think that you have some problem with programs or settings on you system.
I think that you hard drive after new system, will be OK.

Your drive is failing. Copy it to another drive immediately or you will lose your data when the drive fails completely.

No display and not booting after getting very hot is likely to be a GPU issue. This is repairable.

Have you tried a different HD. If the vista download was the last thing you did, i would have thought that was your problem.
BUT i cant see that this would stop it from detecting the hard drive.
I had a similar problem on a desktop with a vista update, it had turned off my main hard drive as a bootable device in the bios, I dont know if you can get into the bios, but it may be worth taking a look

How long has this camera been out? I'm shopping

HI,
The Canon Rebel T2i was announced on Feb 08, 2010 and Canon just started shipping the DSLR. Your salesperson was thus correct.
The DSLR is also known as EOS 550D. It differs from the previously model by:
  • Higher resolution 18MP CMOS with gapless micro lenses
  • ISO 6400 no longer in 'expanded' range (12,800 max remains the same)
  • Redesigned buttons and new movie/live view button
  • Customizable auto ISO ranges
  • Improved 63 zone metering (iFCL)
  • 3:2 format screen with more pixels
  • Improved movie functionality
  • Slightly higher burst shooting rate (though buffer holds fewer shots)
  • HDMI control (CEC)
  • SDHX Compatible

0F00:065D is a hard drive read test failure. the hard drive is failing. If purchased in Feb, the system should be under warranty call Dell Tech Support to get a replacement hard drive. (800-624-9896 in USA)
If out of warranty you can get a 2.5 in SATA HDD at Newegg.com for about $60

I have reviewed your problem and have the fallowing items for you to check and or try.
Try booting into safe mode and see if the same thing happens.
    ( F-8 )
Choose safe mode with network configuration installed.
If the unit runs without shutting down, it is a program conflict and not a hardware issue.
Run this safe mode start up, with no external devices connected.
Note... Remove any Flash Cards or USB devices, CD or DVD's .
If the unit runs without shutting down in safe mode, you may want to run a complete restoration of software.
    Hope this helps.

    Hallo

I am pretty sure you can do that. You just need a conversion cable for the internal IDE cable which is in your computer. So, if i were you, i would just go to the nearest Computer hardware shop and ask them about the cable you need. I know you can also boot from a USB device. Just remember that this will slow down your computer if you boot from a USB device.

If you find the cable you need, just remember that you need to set the jumpers on the back of each HDD, laptop drive primary and computer drive secondary.

    Best regards.

I was shutting down my toshiba laptop, its now frozen.

If nothing else works remove the battery, leave it for 5 mins then replace it and it will start as normal. Yyou will get an error message usually saying it was not shut down correctly and it may do a system scan but unless there is a real problem with it that will restart it. Ive had to do that twice with mine in the last year.
