FM Radio Feature Completely Disappeared!

The FM Radio on my CZV:M is completely gone. It's not listed on the main menu (it's not listed on the configure menu list), and I can't get to it from anywhere else. It's like it was never there. I've tried everything--reloading/updating the firmware, reformatting it, disk cleanup... everything on the Recovery Menu, i've tried. This by far not an uncommon problem; a quick search on the Creative Forums shows that many other owners have the same problem, but no one has been able to fix it. What else can I try?

I have an ipod classic 160gb and i go under settings/main menu and i have radio checked isnt it supposed too??

Do you mean that you don't have access to the radio because you need the optional radio piece which connects to the bottom of the device if you wish to use the radio. You can either purchase the radio device or go without radio.

The Nano icon with the eject icon is now missing from my computer site so when I want to disconnect the Ipod after recharging, there is no way to do it unless I turn off the computer completely. Very...

With the ipod connected, you will need to go to "device manager" . There will be a list of all devices on your computer there. Your Ipod will be listed there. Right click on it and click uninstall , confirm that choice if it asks you to. Unplug the ipod then restart the computer. When you next plug in your ipod the computer should see it. To find the device manager on your computer click help on the start menu and Type device manager on the search option. This applies to windows systems only.

I can't access the main menu. When I power up it is stuck on the FM radio mode.

Having gone over a month without a reply to my query, I assume the suggested reset solved the problem.

Creative Zen Micro suddenly won't display FM Radio on the main menu. Help please.

The main menu is customizable. You may need to simply add the Radio menu selection back into the main menu.

In the Main Menu select
System --> Display Settings --> Configure Menu
and pick the menus you want to display.

FM Radio was erased from the MP 3

OK this seems to easy a fix for you, but try it.
* In the main menu where it lists your options (and where FM Radio would be) press the 'Menu' button on your Microphoto (bottom right button) and there is an option to 'Configure Menu' and in there should be the option to show FM Radio again. Hope that helps you.

I have a similar, but different problem, so ill list below, maybe it will help someone out.

i also replaced the (broken) 8gb microdrive with 8gb compact flash in my Zen Microphoto, which worked flawlessly! BTW i bought the A-Data 'SPEEDY CF 8GB' from

My FM Radio still shows up, but only gets MONO sound on the Right channel, its very frustrating. i took it all apart again and made sure no connections were loose or broken, but everything seems perfect. i believe it to be a firmware issue, i think ill try to roll back the drivers. im using firmware 1.31.01.

its just annoying to have to roll back to Media Player 10 everytime just to install the firmware and have windows properly communicate with the zen... :[

FM Radio

iPods do not come with FM tuners. FM tuners can be bought and added on as an extra feature, but this is a third party device, not an iPod device.

Generally, when you connect the third party FM tuner to the iPod, the iPod will recognize it and you can use the 3rd party FM tuner to change stations.

If you do not have the FM tuner to connect to the iPod, the individual that sold you the iPod did not include the FM tuner to connect to the the iPod. In that case, the Menu will still list the FM tuner, but there is no device to connect to the iPod.
