Well if its the boot password you have hope,ALT+F10 on start is supposed to get you to the recovery manager,if you cant get there restore factory default,if its the windows operating system password, you can try to type administrator in the user name and leave the password blank, sometimes your able to get in on the built in administrator acct.,if that doesnt work,,its not easy you can download password recovery programs and try that,if its the boot lock password you can take it apart and remove the bios battery on the mother board, remove main battery ,unplug power set something on the power button heavy enough to hold it down and wait, the longer the better, one day ,maybe two, reassemble and it should be back to factory default, if its under warranty send it to acer, nowif your able to get past the boot password and the windows password is still holding you up you can one-time boot to a windows disc and reinstall new copy, warning! you will loose everything on the computer, but at least you can use it agian hope this helps, aloha from maui todd0708

Go to "Start" > "Restart" to reboot your netbook. Hold down "Alt" and "F10" when you see the Acer logo on the screen. The recovery menu will load. Hit "Enter" and then "Next" to see your recovery options. Choose "Factory Restore" to set your netbook back to factory settings. Follow the instructions on the screen. Choose your time zone and language when the customization menu appears. Reboot the netbook when you are prompted. Restore your saved files from the flash drive. or Click on the Start menu. Then, select all programs, Acer Empowering Technology and Acer eRecovery Management. If this is the first time you have opened the program it will prompt you to set up a password and create a backup CD. Click the Restore button and select the option that reads "Restore system to factory defaults". Wait for the computer to finish the restore process and reboot. Restoring for the Boot Screen If your computer will not boot up properly, you can attempt to reach the restore option by pressing the Alt button and the F10 button at the same time. When the eRecovery menu appears, choose "restore system to factory defaults". Wait for the recovery process to complete and the computer to restart Hope this helps.

Reset acer 4810t

You can start the Recovery from outside windows by holding down the ALT key and tapping F10 repeatedly
on startup. When the recovery loads you will be prompted for a password.

This should have been set by the customer if they have been into the Acer Recovery Management software previously.

If they have forgotten the password or you wish to clear the password you need to boot off the recovery disk that should have been created.

More Information

From the Acer toolbar at the top of the desktop click on the disk icon

Setup a password if requested.

After clicking on setup you need to click Create Password to continue.

Create a password and add a password hint (strongly recommended).
You now have the option of restoring from a previous Windows Vista backup or you can start the Acer recovery process.

The recovery is started by clicking Restore at the bottom of the window.

Further types of recovery are now presented.

Choose Restore system to factory default if you wish to run the hard drive based recovery and return your Acer computer back to it's original factory default state.

Note: The factory default recovery will wipe ALL data from the computer so ensure important data has been saved to disk before proceeding.

Enter the password that was previously set.

Confirm you wish to run the recovery process.

After confirming you wish to run the recovery process the computer will restart and restore all the original files
Complete the Out of Box Experience when prompted

After a couple of restarts the computer will run through restoring the preinstalled software that came with your computer and then be ready to use

hope this helps

I have a feeling you will have contact www.acer.com for them to reset the emanager password for you.
Have you tried to restore this unit,
It shouldn't be passworded either just reset back to original install.

Let me know if this helps ,Misterdj
