Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Error, I have a HP.PSC 1315 printer, fitted withHP Black 27, & Tricolor 28, cartridges.Recently, I replaced the print cartridges with theoriginal ones mentioned above. When I start the PC,(OS. Windows XP Professional) I get error on the Front panel of the Printer, mentioned above. I tried several suggested steps, such as cleaning ,realigning the Cartridges, unplugging & reconnecting the Power cord, USB ports check, Uninstall & reinstall the Hp, printer software from the original CD, etc. No improvement.. The HP service agents recommend that the printer be exchanged and another current model be purchased.. I am not happy at that.It is hardly 3 years old and sparsely used. Is there any thing you can suggest to get over the problem, except chuck it off? MY E.mail i.d is Thanks, Prakash

    I have n't seen any solution to my persistant error, i.e."Check Print Cartridge", I opened the front panel door, seen the cartridges move freely on the bar, cleaned the copper contacts on the cartridges and cartridge seating shoes, unplugged & replugged the power cord etc.

    Yet no change in the error message shown on the front panel.

    I am unable to see any solution 1.. What's it?

I have been going quite nuts with the same problem. I took the following steps which have corrected the problem. Note the initial problem: Blinking Check Print Cartridge light and E displayed in copies window. It printed for a while with one cartridge removed, but then stopped. I determined it was the color cartridge that was causing problems. I uninstalled the printer. I reinstalled it from the web site. The printer lights continued blinking. I tried another new color print cartridge and that fixed it. I think mine was a faulty ink cartridge.

Puede ser el scaner fijate si hace un reconocimiento total el scaner, si no lo hace hay que cambiarlo debido a que la tarjeta principal solo reconoce siempre y cuando el scaner hace el reconocimiento total

Steps you have suggested were tried out because they had been listed under Trouble Shooting section of HP. As mentioned earlier, they were not successful in restoring the operation.. Error light "Check Printer cartridge" contonues to blink,
any fersh suugestions,please? Error seems to be localised to Black cartridge.(in my opinion)..One file hp crotech,dll seems to be misssing,
Even HP director does n't easilyopen up,when clicked. No activity whatso ever, when I try to print.
Please offer some solution. HP local service center, suggests replacement of the Printer,--exhange it--- which to my miund is no solution.

Will 27 black and 28 tri-colour cartridge work on a D1560 hp deskjet

HP 21 black and HP 22 tricolor cartridges are the cartridges compatible with HP DESKJET D1560.HP 27 and 28 won't work with your printer because they won't get recognized by the machine.It will only give you an error message like incompatible cartridges.

I am unable to insert the Ink Cartridges in HP 1315 Printer


Make sure you've got either 56 or 27 black and 57 or 28 colour cartridges. See here:

You "pop" them down then withdraw the old ones. Put the new ones in angled slightly upwards then click them up into place. The raised plastic on top of the cartridges will prevent installation into the wrong ports. If you're trying to put in a 58 photo cartridge it goes into the black port.

HP 1315 printing real slow

If there are a compatiable black cartridge
replace this cartridge with your old empty cartridge and print a test page (don't mind about printing of black )
If speed is correct,
then replace the black cartridge with another new cartridge.
(some time compatiable black cartridge not work properly to flow ink)

The "ok" button is your "scan" button... had similiar printer, with similiar problems (PSC All-in-one)

Hello -
Did you perhaps not mean to post under the 1315? I am not sure if you have this printer or another model. The 1315 normally takes a different number ink cartridge.

Meanwhile - gotta tell you that the 1315 is the buggiest printer I ever had. If you purchased it recently and can find your receipt, I'd take it back! Since they've pretty much done away with the 1315, if it was a recent purchase, it was likely a clearance item from some place.

Try taking all the ink cartridges out, uninstall the printer entirely, and reinstall it (the entire printer, not just the cartridges). Blow your printer out with canned air as well - dust, pet hair, people hair, fuzz and general paper fibers can build up more than we think, and cause error messages and other printing problems.

That should help, if it was the 1315 model.

That being said, note that if it still doesn't work, and you have the 1315, save yourself a lot of grief and toss it in the trash and buy another cheap printer! 1315 is Bug City!

pull out the cartridge and scrub its point with a simple eraser (common eraser for pencil)and fix again then check
