On most of the DVD players regional set up cannot be changed.However just for trying; type your players brand and model number into goggle along with 'hack code' and you should be able to find some codes to change the region code on your player.You need to find the correct 'Hack' for your model, otherwise you wont be succeed.
Google 'DVD Hacks', there are many sites out there that will provide the details.
It generally consists of pressing a secret sequence of buttons on the remote.
For example; holding the mute button down and simultaneously pressing 6758, they are all different.
It then enters a special SERVICE mode where you can change the DVD region or make it region free.
In my experience the major brands like Sony, Sharp, JVC, Toshiba,Panasonic etc are harder to change, I guess the major players do not want copyright issues/problems.
On the other hand,The cheaper DVD players as unbranded, or never heard of, are better.They are all "MULTI REGION " or "region free "players play any region dvd.

Do a google search for 'region hack and your model #' Not all players can be hacked and don'y pay anyone for the info. Usually a scam.

It's not the dvd; it's your player. I'm answering my own question. I did a search and found a code that needs to be set into my dvd player. So do a google search asking "wrong region" and the name of your dvd player. Someone is sure to have hacked through the problem and is more than willing to tell you how to fix it. Worked for me! Why does this even happen?

I figured out the code, it's printed incorrectly many places.

1 - Turn on DVD Player
2 - Press Open/Close button - open tray
3 - Press "8888"
4 - Put a DVD in the tray (from outside your region)
5 - Press Open/Close button - close tray
6 - Voila! It plays!

Works on mine!
