Question about RCA HD52W58 52" TV
When I try to turn the TV on with the remote, the power button lights up for 5 seconds then turns off. There is no picture or sound. It does this 3 times.
I tried the front panel buttons and the same thing happens. I have unplugged the television and plugged it back in. I finally unplugged it all night and plugged it in. As soon as I try to get the power on- the light stays on for 5 seconds, goes off, clicks on again for 5 seconds and goes off, and finally goes on again for 5 seconds and then shuts off. No picture or sound.
Can anyone advise what to do?
The first thing in this unit is to check the ribbon cable that goes from the front control panel to the back ssb board, I would unplug and replug to make sure seated properly. Then try it again. There are alot of screws to take out but worth it if this solves the problem.

The itc222. I have seen alot of these at the shop. The first thing to know is that these set have a microprocessor that will shut the unit down for any of 20 different reasons. for safty. The processor logs these errors and technicians can read these with special computer interface. generally the most popular problems are the horizontal transistor and the flyback. There could be high voltage problems. this is where the troubleshooting begins
