Screen seems to stay on after powering off...

Is the Standby Mode when the screen stays kind of lit after the power is shut off...seems like a waste of energy if so..If not, I may have a fire hazard on my hands.  Any comments?

Stand by should be when the power button turns red. There is also an off mode but it requires you to use the button on the front of the tv. Only problem with this is the remote doesn't work when the tv is in the off mode.

Funai TV will not stay on. It turns on for 1 second and then turns off. Red standby light blinks on and of, what can I do?

Either the power driver board is faulty, or it has a humidity sensor in it, which turns it off. Move it to a very dry place for a few days, then try it again and it might work.

Screen stays black but lit when shut down

If the monitor led is indicating stand by and it seems as if the monitor is still on, could be a sign of an aging monitor. As long as the led changes along with the function of the monitor there's really no way to indicate the monitor still on after shut down especially when the led is amber telling you it's on standby mode.

Screen will not stay lit

Check in the POWER OPTIONS section of the control panel if the display timeout for inactivity is too short. This is ONLY if the machine remains running.

If the whole unit is shutting down then likely your charger is not being effective. This problem can be with the charger OR the charging system on the motherboard of the laptop.

Comuter will not stay in standby mode.

So why do you need the computer in stand-by mode anyway? My computers are either on or off. Off saves power and hardware.

Black Screen / Computer Stays in Standby Mode

Completely remove the battery and unplug the power cord for a few minutes. Reinsert battery and power up. You can also hit F8 when starting and see if you can boot into safe mode.
