Error code 10 in device manager means that the device cannot start. This is due to either the drivers are not updated, or the drivers are not recognized by the Device Manager.

Try the following:
- Uninstall and then reinstall the drivers.
- Make sure you have the updated drivers and the drivers are compatible with the operating system of the computer.
- Try to install the adapter to another computer, just to isolate the issue if this is a problem with the drivers or if it is a compatibility issue with the PC.

Please note: WUSB54GSC v1 drivers can also work with Win 7 using the Win Vista drivers.

1-after you uninstall make restart for computer.
2-don`t connect the scanner USB until the driver installer required this.

Uninstall YM 9

Install Yahoo! Messenger 10 instead by this link:

http://rd.software.yahoo.com/msgr/10/msgr10us.exe


When prompted, save the .exe file to your desktop. Then double click the Yahoo! Messenger 10 file on your desktop to begin installation.

Unable to dowload after installing AOL desktop.
Why would you want to re-install a program which broke your system? I would feel fortunate there was no other damage done and move on. Even when you think you have the whole program wiped out, they still leave clutter hanging around, so, use explorer to go through your computer and get rid of everything to do with that program, unless it it now shared with another program.

try to take out the sound card again and reboot with card out then install again reboot again and see if that helps and do you know what code 10 error is if not try to find out then you might get an idea of what it is

Sound problem
The message that the installation failed means the drivers did NOT install properly. Uninstall the driver FIRST before trying the installation again. Failure to remove all the sound drivers will insure a failed installation.
