You can't use a mp3 as a ringtone because the lg neon will only use drm-protected ringtones. You can only buy them.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can I shorten the ringer time on my phone?

I don't know about actually shortening the ring time but if you're not insisting on retaining your ringtone then find one you like on Zedge, download it for free and then use a ringtone maker App to cut it down to whatever length you want. When you're happy just Bluetooth to your phone.

How do I download a ringtone from my computer to my Sony Ericcson Z750i mobile phone. Please can I have step by step instructions

Hi,

All you need is your desired MP3, Audacity and the mobile phone software to transfer the MP3 to your phone.

Audacity is used to cut the MP3 down. Your average MP3 is around 3 minutes in length and is around 3 megabytes in size. There's no need to have the whole MP3 on your phone as your ringtone as you're not going to let the phone ring that long are you? So I used Audacity to cut the MP3 down to the first minute in length and 1 megabyte in size only. In doing so, I saved myself some space on the phone and since I normally pick up the call after the first few rings, I still have my nice cool ringtone.

So here's how to edit your MP3 using Audacity. Being a bit of a geek, I wanted to make a Star Wars ringtone so this is what I did (Star Trek The Next Generation is next!)

After opening Audacity, open the MP3 file you want to edit :

Next, go to Edit-Select-Start To Cursor

How to change ringtones? for iphone3

Start by choosing the .mp3 file that you'd like to have a piece of it as your ringtone. Remember that you cannot keep the full mp3 file as your ringtone, instead you can trim a portion of it to be used as a ringtone. The maximum allowed length of the ringtone can be less than 30 seconds.

Ring tone

For Mac users, this is surprisingly simple using Garage Band (part of the iLife product line).
Simply take your source audio material (no more than 30 seconds in length), and plunk it into a new project in Garage Band.
Then, go to "Share" > "Send Ringtone to iTunes"
When this is complete, simply connect your iPhone, go into iTunes and from the "Ringtones" tab under your device enable the new ringtone.
Do a sync.
Finally, go into iPhone settings and choose your new ringtone from the sounds menu.
