I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3120us Entertainment Notebook. A update came from HP for the BIOS and while installing the update, it will not finish. Its frozen at 100% can you assist?

your options are wait for it to complete. Or power cycle it and hops it froze on downloading, and not during installing.

Manually download the bios update yourself and then flash it manually if it does come back up.

If the computer fails to boot up then you will need to use a recovery bootdisc and then to apply the bios update again manually as opposed to doing it in windows.

Hi, I purchased a acer on 8/20/10. Updated with a new video card on 9/9/10. Worked great until 10/3/10. I was playing a game and the computer froze. I had to do a hard shut down. Computer came back up,...

Hello sir, if your hard drive and video card is new for now, then maybe your memory card is not enough for your PC. And please try to check the processor because I encountered some problems like that.

the last part of your question is unclear. If the motherboard is mounted in the case carefully with no short circuits then it is more likely the PSU failed. try another PSU first, double check connections to the board before you switch on and let us know if you are still having trouble.

Mp3 player is froze up. wont come on. New

Reset the player by pressing and holding MENU button for like 8 to 10 seconds.

You can also do a firmware update of your player. Connect your MP3 to your computer and download this LINK. Select "Save" to save the copy on your computer. After downloading, run the installer and follow the instructions to complete installation.

Hope this helps you. Good luck!

Laptop froze when trying to download Bios

The bios is a very touchy thing, if you screw them up you will have a door stop. Reboot the computer and start the bios update again. This time download and save the bios update to the hard drive and then run it from there. You should never run any type of bios program from the internet, you should ALWAYS save or burn to disc, then run. The internet is entirely to unstable for such an important update, if there's a glitch or loss of connection, even only for a millisecond, it can ruin your machine. If you cannot reboot and finish the update, get back to me and i'll see if I can get you through this.
