Hi,

First of all make sure you have new batteries installed in both the keyboard and mouse.
Next make sure that the receiver has not been accidentally pulled out of the USB port and make sure its in the original port you had it in when it worked.
Once you happy that you've checked all that press the connect button on the receiver (if there is one) and also take a look under the keyboard and mouse for the connect buttons that should be there and press them.

To activate the mouse right click. To activate the keyboard hit the space bar.

If none of this works you may have to reinstall the drivers from the original CD you should have got with the keyboard.

If you require more help please post back.

Good luck.

My built in mouse is acting strangly since I installed Windows 7. it will just stop working randomly. if it is working fine and I log off, when I come back it is not working, and I have to re-boot.

Thank you for using FixYa

Hopefully it will just need a new driver for the mouse. Follow the MS link and download a new one.

In some cases it may be necessary to go directly to the manufacturer to get it updated, if they have not kept up with Windows, but that seems unlikely by now with Win7 practically done and Win8 just about to hit.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

Try downloading new drivers for your keyboard. Go to the logic tech website and get plug in the model number of your keyboard under the product support keyboard driver section. Reboot your computer and it should work.

Replace batteries in keyboard and re-sync the devices

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>- --> Synching Mouse or Keyboard with Wireless Optical Desktop trnsp.gif Question My mouse or keyboard doesn't work with my Wireless Optical Desktop (Model Number: 64373). What's wrong and how do I fix this problem? trnsp.gif Answer Your mouse or keyboard has lost its sychronization with the Wireless Optical Desktop, which can occur after changing the batteries, for example.

To synchronize your wireless device with its receiver:
  1. Move the device within three (3) feet of the receiver.
  2. Press the button on the receiver.
If the receiver has an LED, the light blinks.
  3. Within ten (10) seconds, press the button on the underside of your wireless device.
If the receiver has an LED, the light glows solidly when synchronization is successful.
Early production units of some wireless devices may require repeating the above instructions two or three times.

Timing, distance, and objects impeding the wireless signal may influence your success. While usually unnecessary, some customers have reported better results by:
  • Holding the wireless device very close, within three (3) inches of the receiver.
  • Entirely ignoring the receiver's light.
  • Simultaneously holding the buttons on both the receiver and the device for from ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds.

Asus CS5111 keyboard stopped working

Try taking the batteries out of the mouse and let the receiver find the keyboard first, then once the keyboard is found put batteries back in mouse and let the receiver find the mouse.

Keyboard has stopped working. have replaced batteries, tried to reconnect wireless channel and still nothing. I then rebooted and still nothing. Is is time to give up? Also, a side note the keyboard...

I have had the same problems on an XP configuration. You need to completely uninstall the Logitech drivers and first connect a wired keyboard.
Then reboot and follow the installation instructions for the Logitech keyboard/mouse combi. This probably means running the installer and then connecting the USB device.
It can actually take a few reboots before everything works, very annoying stuff.

They need to be re-synced. Sometimes the wireless signal from the keyboard/mouse is broken and the receiver cannot find it again. A quick re-sync always fixed the problem for me.
