The best bet is to replace the tuner itself as usually tring to repair the connector itself fails again. I need the complete model number. It will be located on a stick on the back of the TV and will be something like D52W20BYX1 etc...

These sets have what is known as a on board Tuner. This means that the Tuner is not replaceable without replacing the entire Board. The good news is that you can replace the Cable/RF connector as long as the shield it attached to is not broke or too bent. Most of the Cable/RF connectors used in these sets have PCB mount . You will have to remove the Signal Board and unsolder the center connection of the broken connector left on the Board. Remount the new
Connector and solder the center connection. You may need a collar nut to secure the Connector the the shield.
I hope this helps,

How do I fix Broken antenna interanl thread?

Hi Hermelinda:
since I don't know exactly what thread you are trying to fix, I'll try to answer with a couple of choices.
- What may be the best would be if the part is able to be replaced, try to get another part, either new from a dealer, or used from a wrecker.
- Assuming we can't replace the part, we have to try to determine what it actually does, as in, is this the bit that the antenna screws into? or is it part of a bracket that secures the antenna assemble?
- You might be able to get a ONE TIME FIX bu putting a very small amount of 2 component epoxy where the failed threads are, and insert the piece that threads in. Then leave it alone, at least overnight, to let it set up. Resist the urge to try to see how strong it is. Just pretent it's not been broken, and if it likes you, it will work.
Hope this helps.

Why can't I get picture or sound when my Sound Bar, TV and Blu-ray player are connected?

You have to run an audio cable from the TV to the sounder and put the sounder on the TV input for sound to work. The first choice audio cable for best sound would be optical cable if your tv has optical output on it. If it does then you would put the sounder on the din input for sound when watching antenna or any hdmi source connected directly to tv. If your TV only as analog rca out or mini audio out then put sounder on aux input. I think your sounder came with mini to mini stereo cable. If your TV doesn't have mini audio out the get a optical cable or you can find a mini to rca red/white will work. Optical is your BEST connection and soundbar would stay on din all the time for best sound.

THE ANTENNA IN HAS BROKEN OFF I UNSCREWED THE BACK OF THE TV AND IT IS A SILVER BOX ...IS IT TO BE REPLACED OR IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO REPAIR THE ANTENNA IN SCREW PART

The temporary fix for this issue never lasts and it will soon break again. I have seen some shops charge over 100 dollars to get the TV working again, but later the part breaks off again. The threaded part that is broke is from the tuner that is on the main board.

The only real way to fix the problem you have is to purchase a new main board.

Next time use a "slip" connecter (not a threaded one) on the back of the TV for the cable connection.

Pulled plug (antenna connection) out from the back of the TV set it broke off tried to fix it and now lost the threaded male end can this be fixed & how much the dvd works great,ser#057340809675 upc#7...

You can buy the male coax threaded terminal at Radio Shack or Home Depot...some Walmarts carry it too. You can do it yourself, just follow the instructions on the package. You will have to strip the plastic shiething off the cable a little with a knife.

Antenna/Cable Connector partially ripped... Hi, everybody. Does anyone know how to fix a ripped antenna/cable connection? Thanks for the help. My TV Model is a Daewoo DTQ-13P3FC 13" TV for more details....

The cheapest way i can think of is open the tv and solder the ripped peice back on. That should work. If not you can go to radio shack and buy a new peice for it and install it by soldering the connections back on. Hope I could help.

Weird message on the tv

Just letting the TV run for about ten minutes while it "thinks" seems to be the best answer. The more I tried to do, the longer it took. But just letting it stay on and sit for a bit it eventually switched over to static, and from the static I was able to get back to the channell with cable.

Rabbit ears to digital conversion box

Your TV is old enough to have not only screw terminals for the antenna, but it sounds like it has separate UHF and VHF terminals as well. Pick up a 75-ohm to 300-ohm adapter (available at Radio Shack and probably most other places that sell TV's and antennas). This is a small cylinder-shaped part with a threaded antenna connector on one end, and a flat wire with two terminals on the other end. Connect the cable from the converter box to the round connector, hook the two terminals to the VHF antenna screws on your TV, put the TV on channel 3 and you'll be set.

You should also pick up a new antenna designed to work with digital broadcasting. If you use the old rabbit ears you were using before, you will probably not pick up all the channels available in your area.

"antenna" problem.

Satellite Antenna cables are very sensitive. Once the live core expose outside of its shield it will reduce the quality of reception. Live core always should be shielded. Best thing is the changing entire cable from radio to antenna. But if you wish you can try to repair the snapped area by putting isolation material (can be electrical type) but live core (the center wire) should be shielded. You can use aluminum foil as shielding after isolate the live core. Aluminum foil should be contacted the shield of the cable (outer surrounding wire)

Good Luck
