Just bought new propane tank for my Charbroil grill. First two times it work perfectly. Very short cook times with only 2 out 4 burners on. Now the grill lights but only enough of a flow for a low heat. What could the problem be? Thanks

Either you got short changes on gas or the regulator is not working properly. Check the tank to see if it is empty, if not then the regulator will need to be changed.

Bought this grill in june/july. first tank worked perfect. tank went out while cooking. changed to new tank and lit her up. low flame and went out. looked at tank and found the valve and hose covered...

turn off gas at tank remove hose let it deforst , open all burners on bbq run out gas in line , turn off burners, reconnect tank turn on slow , check hose for leaks with washing up liqued and water mix make bubbles with this mix and brush over joints this will prove if you have a gas leak (hence the frosting ) if this is good no leak then you should be able to light burners , if this leaks then it could be a new hose.

Before buying anything, look into the burners for spider webs. The webs block gas from getting to the burner and will fire back. This is dangerous. Look carefully where the gas nozzle enters the burner tube.

The burners will not light. It appears that they are no getting any propane from the tank. Unfortunately, I have missed the manuel and this is a brand new grill. First time trying to use it and have...

The problem is more than likely the OPD Valve in the gas tank. To solve this problem, turn the Tank Valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve ON VERY,VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once it's fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to it's highest setting. Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners following the same procedure. Now, to all the flame heights look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Just remember to always turn the tank valve ON very, very slowly. If it didn't solve the problem, make sure you have adequate gas in "old propane tank from the other grill."

New Charbroil gas regulator leaks

The connector on the grill side that connects to tank may be bad. Call manufacturer and they should send you a new hose and regulator for free since it is a new grill. If grill does the same then replace tank.

Propane grill wont ignite

Well, it sounds like your grill is experiencing vapor lock. Vapor lock is basically air caught in the gas line and there is a relatively easy method to fix this. I want you to try this method and tell me what you get, ok? First, open the tank's valve, then open the burner valve and light the grill. Immediately after you see a blue flame, turn off the tank's valve, count to five and then close the burner valve. Repeat this procedure three times, the problem should clear itself.

If you are still experiencing problems, the regulator may be faulty and needs to be tested next, so go get a new regulator from your Lowe's and run the procedure again. If after all this, you are still experiencing the problem, let me know here. Good luck!

My weber gas grill will not heat up past 300F

Hi John,

I just experienced the same exact problem ! I just bought a brand new Weber E-310 a 3 burner grill.
After I seasoned it up with cooking oil,I turned all the burners to high, opened the tank and clicked electrnic button several times , the grill was on then I went inside, I came out about an half-hour later and it was saying around 275 degrees..
I looked into my manual and there is a gas limit control valve that shuts down gas flow, when it thinks there is too much gas flow.

Sloution;
Turn the propane gas knob to off
Turn the gas grill knobs to Off.
Click the igniter several times to clear out any gas.
Then unscrew the regulator from the tank,( I then blew into the tank hole and regulator),
Screw back on the regulator to the propane tank.
I then clicked igniter again couple of times.
Now open your propane tank.
Then turn on front burner while clicking igniter, this will lite 1st burner.
Then turn 2nd burner on low then to high.
And if you have 3rd burner or more, turn low then to high!

John I did this and my grill went to 600 plus in a few minutes!!

The problem was turning the gas grill knobs on first then opening the tank then lighting...
You have to open propane tank with knobs off, THEN AS SOON AS YOU TURN ON 1ST KNOB, YOU MUST IGNITE ...
