Re: loud possible fan noise

If you are not afraid to get in to the back of tv, the chassie has 4 different fans, you can unplug the tv remove all of the screws on the back, and remove the lamp door, there are about 5 plugs on the top of the chassie that plugs in the tv,donot unplug these plugs ,you can pull the chassie out of tv until you run out of wire on the plugs, then plug the tv in,turn the tv on, and you might hear the fan thats bad. If you are not comfortable with this call a repair man,the fans are not that expensive, and are pretty easy to change.i can guide you thru the replacement process if you need my help.

Our 4 year old Hitachi tv fan has been very loud. It even turned off a couple times so we blew some air on it. It's still so loud that we need to turn our volume up. Can this be fixed?

I would hesitate the blame the noise on a fan. It could very well be the Color Wheel in the Optical Engine making the noise. If this is the case , the Optical Engine would have to be replaced. This is a very expensive repair and I recommend you call Hitachi to see if they could help you find a Service Repair Facility near you to verify the cause of the noise and maybe even help with repairs. Their Customer Service Number is 1800-HITACHI.
I hope this helps,

Have a 50 inch LG plasma tv and it has developed a loud fan like noise coming from it

Hello. Most plasma's do have internal fans that keep the temp down on the internal components. Maybe you have not noticed it if the tv volume was turned up. It also could be that tone of the fans are defective, which would cause them to sound louder. If it is unusually loud, you might want to have the t.v. checked. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate me if I helped you. take care. Ron

I have a set of wireless speakers which when

The hum is generated by incompatible Ohmage
one is 8 ohm the other 16 and it is overdriving.

If that does not appear to be the case then there is some lack of shielding on the plugs to the JVC.

But i would punt for the first option

Panasonic 50 inch plasma

You should call for warranty service. If the set is very new try to get it exchanged.

There are some very heavy duty power supplies and many high power matrix drivers used in Plasma sets.

The description sounds like the noises are very loud. It is normal with any of these TV sets, if you put your ear right up to the back of the set at the vent holes you will hear some noises. These would be some acoustic harmonics from the power supplies and related circuits.

I am wondering if it is possible that there is something that is becoming less stable. If the set is working very well without any failure, so-far this is a very good sign. Before it gets to be a problem, I would have this checked.

On many models of these sets, they use fans for cooling specific areas. A bad fan can cause noise.

Very loud fan or vibration noise

Listen from the back of the TV and locate the source of the noise. There may be fan with a bad bearing. The noise will lead you to it.
