Treadmill won't turn on after not being used for 6 months

We moved from Michigan to Texas. After 6 months of sitting in my garage, I plugged in my treadmill and it does not turn on. Is there a switch I am missing besides the off/on switch under the display area? I have a Profrom 770 EKG treadmill.

The only on/off switch on that model is located beside the power cord where it enters the lower body area.

I have a reconditioned Precor C954. It has been sitting unused for at least two years. I plugged it in and the fan on the motor turns on, however the console does not light up. Perhaps a fuse issue?

You can start with checking the fuse, but I would also verify the correct voltage is making it to the lower board. Start at the wall outlet and follow the power through the cord and through the on/off circuit breaker. If you are getting power to the lower board and not to the console up top, it could be one of a few things. It could be the lower board, the wiring from the lower board going to the console, or the console itself. You will need a multimeter in order to do the proper troubleshooting. I will attach a link where you can view the service manual for your machine. There will also be a link to a video on using a multimeter.

The bikes do not shift the bike has been sitting in a garage for about 6 months.

Being a complex mechanism it would require a bit more of a visual analysis to identiy WHY it won't shift.

Get on a search engine and read up on "how bicycles shift" to get a better handle on the problem.

"how to..." just about anything also leads to instant answers.

Machine is plugged in but won't turn on. We haven't used it in about 6 months. Please advise as to what we can do. Other electrical appliances work using outlet that we have the treadmill plugged into.

Check the circuit breaker located beside the power cord. Be sure that it has not tripped. Snap it back into place if tripped.
Confirm that the on/off switch is switched on.
Insert the safety key in the slot on the front of the console. The console should light up.
If nothing lights up, I would suspect the power supply PCB, part #180635.

Breaker keeps tripping when in use at any speed even when my son uses it and he weights less than 100 lbs.

1. Make sure you are using a surge supressor, but this likely isn't the problem.

2. Make sure you aren't plugged in to a GFCI outlet such as those in a garage, basement or bathroom. (If this fixes your problem, you should still follow steps 1 and 3)

3. Make sure you are lubricating the walking belt every 6 months with a 100% silicone, treadmill lubricant,(this is important)
