Question about Dimplex CS3311 Compact Heater
Heater is one year old. The fan cuts off almost immediately after being turned on. Any suggestions?
You could have a bad Heat sensing switch...or the wiring itself could be a bad connection........UNPLUG the heater first.....follow the wires coming from the fan and they will lead to the switcvh that brings the fan on...ensure the connections look ok......If they are fine install a "jumper" wire across the 2 terminals and plug the unit back in the fan should run continuously....then you know the switch is no good....if the wires go to a Rheostat (adjustable speed control) ensure that the dial is on....becareful the jumper wire doesn't touch anything...and test it briefly...you will be able to tell if the fan is ok...you may also be able to simply marette the wires going to the switch together which is the same as a jumper wire...if you're unfamiliar with Electrical or anything I'm saying I suggest you call a Qualified Technician

The fan motor is bad. without the fan running the thermostat shuts off quickly. if you pay attention the fan will barely run or not at all. replace the fan motor and it will run fine.
