Question about Dell Studio 1737 Laptop

The CD I inserted will not eject. Everything worked fine until just a few minutes ago!

I have the Studio model and there is no 'door'. That was the perfect answer for my last computer!! This one is a slot. There is something or someone inside that grabs the CD and pulls it in. There is a button above the keyboard to release it. Not sure what part/s do not work.

    Thanks for your effort.

Hello there:
If you look real closly at the cd rom door you will see a very small hole
simply get a paperclip and straiten it out and insert it in the hole untill you feel it stop now just press in on it with firm pressure and you will feel it release the cd rom tray and it should be ok from there ok I hope that this is very helpful for you
Best regards Mike

My cd rom tray will not eject and the light is

have you manually tried to eject the disc tray? There's a little hole on there somewhere, stick an unbent paperclip or safety pin in it and push until the tray starts to come out, then pull the tray out with your fingers.

Once you've done that, push the button to allow the tray to automatically retract.

The player will not eject the cd but it will not play it either.

I know it sound crazy, but turn the system on, press eject while using a PLASTIC knife to lift the CD in the player. If the system is stock also try disconnecting the radio fuse for about 10 minutes or so with the car off. Reconnect it to see if the radio resets. You'll know the power completely went out because you'll have to reset your stations. By Resetting, hopefully the issue will solve itself. In a few of the system issues I've seen, when the motor won't open the faceplate, or the CD player won't give the CD back. I usually remove the faceplate or disconnect the negative side of the battery for about ten minutes. Try this if the fuse removal doesn't work. Good look. Let me know how it goes. there are other things to try.

Wont eject what should i do

Hi! My reply is a bit late, but if you still have the same problem this may help.

You can force your DVD rom to eject a disc by poking a paper clip into the small hole near the eject button. Insert a paperclip into the hole for a few seconds (perhaps 10 to 30 sec). You may need to repeat the process several times until it ejects the disc. In case you are wondering where is this little hole - it's on the left side of the eject button.

Good luck and have a nice day!

I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma and the C.D. player worked fine until a couple months ago. All of a sudden, when I put in a C.D., it simply ejects. I tried a cleaner, I tried blowing it out. Any ideas?

If you haven't done so already, unplug the main power source from the back of the head unit. Wait a few seconds and plug it back in. If it is still ejecting cd's automatically. It will most likely need to be replaced.

Power will not stay on

Sounds like you're not getting voltage on the accessory power lead. This is the red wire at the back of the deck, and it supplies power whenever the key is switched on. It's possible that your vehicle's radio fuse is blown.
