Question about Mitsubishi WS-65869 65" Rear Projection Television
I have replaced the capacitors in the tv and it is still not working. It will click on for 3-4 seconds with the green light on. The green light goes off after those 3-4 seconds. There is only 1 minute of blinking after unplugging or pressing the reset button.(normal). The given error code is ' one blink two blink' which is no error. I have seen other posts indicated that it might have a bad IC, piso fuses, horizontal convergence problem. I don't know. I don't know where these items are located in the tv. So any help regarding what could be wrong or where I can look at some of these part would be great. Should note there is a white ceramic looking 'thing' near the back that is the source of the clicking. Does not appear burnt or broken.
Hi Jim, The problems I have found on these similiar sets are power supply problems and Horizontal transformer ( Flyback transformer ). The clicking I assume you are hearing may be the flyback transformer ( thats the big black transformer with the big red wire along with a couple of other wire coming off it ). The horizontal transistor is sometime the cause of this also, so if you have a transistor, or diode checker, check the horizontal transistor first. If the transistor is bad, it may be an indicatioon the transformer is also bad ( one will burn the other out sometimes). I hope this helps in some matter. Good Luck
