I just bought a Craig cht923 sound bar for my mom for her birthday and I can not get any sound to come out from my TV or DVD player. The manual wasn't helpful.Am I missing something?

what type cable are you trying to use .I prefer the HDMI if both the player and tv have the proper plugs then select the hdmi input on the TV . all should work .

All of a sudden the sound just quit on my Toshiba SDK990 DVD player. Any ideas? TV works fine and have checked different audio settings and cords and all.

First: be sure the TV sound is ok. then, try the DVD sound by using headphones. If it sounds, then try moving by do a little pressure aside the audio connector from DVD to TV while it is connected

Created and burned a DVD with imac (iDVD) software. Plays fine on computer, but music skips when I play on Zenith DVD Player. Tried burning at slower speed, but same issue. Can anyone help? Thanks.

The Audio file may not be supported on the DVD player, or try another disk in the DVD player (another movie) see if the sound still skips

you could check the red and white audio cables (or HDMI if you have it) make sure they are not loose or disconnected

Have picture, no sound

I've had this trouble too. Not sure how to fix it, but I've found a work-around:

Remove DVD.
Insert Audio CD.
Wait for audio to play.
Remove audio CD.
Reinsert DVD.
Sound should work again.

If you power off the unit, you may have to try this procedure again.

No sound Zenith DVB712

Try changing the audio setting from BITSTREAM to PCM. On the remote select SETUP, AUDIO, DOLBY DIGITAL, then change the setting. Once selected turn off the DVD player without exiting the Menu. Turn back on again.

Lost sound on DVD

I have a CH-DVD 300--not sure how different it is from the 200, but I have the same problem. Putting in an audio CD seems to do the trick, and is less hassle than unplugging (which also works for me).

Samsung DVD M105

Try to service your dvd to a technicain or change your audio wires. If not successful, maybe your DVD appliance's chipsets are defective

Random no audio

I have had this happen with this particular brand frequently. I have it plugged in to a power "strip" or surge protector. I find that if I turn the strip off then on again, it resets and fixes the problem.
