Question about HP Officejet J5780 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP Officejet J5780: Cannot scan, copy, or fax from my computer.

HP Officejet J5780: I have installed the software and can print successfully from my computer. However, when I click on "HP Solution Center" I get a message "No HP devices have been detected". Therefore, I cannot scan, copy, or fax from my computer. Help requested please.

Kindly install the scanner software for printer the driver software cd just re install it will install the scanner software and make sure in device manger there is not other usb device listed if it is there just remove it. And refresh it in will automatically install the driver.

Hi,

The HP Officejet 4355 can print, scan, copy and fax.

You need to install the printer software to print and scan. Copy and faxing does not required software installation.

check if you have the HP solution center softare installed
this software allows to set the fax settings
you can also try the fax wizard or the printer's fax icon for the same that you will find in the control panel---->printers and faxes

Scanning on hp j5780 officejet with vista home premium


click on start and in the start search box type devmgmt.msc
click on enter
in the device manager click on view and click on show hidden devices.
now check if you get a grey mark against your printer entry(when you click on the plus sign ) or against the imaging device if you do .
click on the plus sign before printers and imaging devices and right click the printer /imaging device entry if you get an option that says enable click on that and restart the printer and the computer and this should resolve your issue if this does not uninstall and re-install your printer software

Try to disconnect the power cable from the back of the unit and reconnect it after few secs. The alingment will start itself. Complete the alingment once.

How do you scan to a file?


Make sure you have the HP Director Software installed. Get it here.

Then follow the instructions here.
It appears there is no button to sacn to pc, that is part of the software.

Are you getting a NO SCAN OPTION

If you are getting this message when you are trying to scan from the All-In-One.
And If the software is successfully installed in your computer, then you should have a icon in your desktop as HP Solution /HP Director (if not got to Start> All Programs>
HP> HP Solution Center)/HP Director Then try scanning from there, if you are able to scan from there then try the steps bellow.
Open solution center> Settings> Scan settings> Scan to setup> Then in this window click on Restore defaults> Then apply or ok and close all the windows and try to scan from the
All-In-One printer.
If it still does not work then try the bellow steps:
Go to:
My computer>C:windows>system32
Copy hpzipm12
minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
minimize this window.
Go back to My computer>C:>windows>system32
Copy hpzinw12
minimize this window

Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Now you will see two new files in Startup
Now go to My Computer>C:Program Files>HP>Digital Imaging>bin>
Copy hpqtra08
close this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Restart the computer
Open Hp Solution Center> Settings>Scan settings and preferences> Scan to button>
check destination list> if available applications are not in the destination list then add them in the front panel destination
Tried to scan.

If the software is not installed then you will have to install the printer driver and software sucessfully first.

And if you do not have the software insatlled completly and sucessfully then you need to install the All-In-One Printer driver and software first
