Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook

Constant security tool warnings

I'm having trouble with constant security tool warnings popping up on the screen, often times forcing my computer to shut down. I just purchased the Acer Aspire One couputer Oct 08, 2009. My McAfee protection is stating here is 37 possible infections, however I don't currentlly have the $30 subscription fee at this time to run a correction scan using McAfee. Is there some sort of free trial I can use to scan the problem or could you explain how to get my computer back to factory settings?

Thank You
Jeff

Hi:
Download an excellent, free Antivirus program, @ www.free.avg.com

Then go to control panel, add and remove programs, and un install the entire Mcafee program.

Your computer will run faster and safer.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Having problem to shut macbook

Click the Apple logo at the top left hand corner of your screen and select "Force Quit". On the small window that pops up, select the trouble app and click Force Quit. If the app does not close, hold down the power button until the screen goes black. This will not harm your computer (since it's a Mac) and you can boot it back up afterwards.

My computer continues to shut-down for no apparent reason while booting up. It will get to bios then abruptly shutdown. Please Help!!

Maybe something is defective from the factory? Can you bring it back and exchange it for another? Is it a desktop or a laptop? If it's a desktop, maybe remove a side panel and aim a small fan at the inside. Do you know how to start up your computer in safe mode? Maybe try starting it in safe mode and see if you can do a system restore, do you know what that is and how to do it? Google will explain it to you, but I'd suggest those steps.

Hi mistybates1,
Please install "Log Collector" from Market. Next time this happens, please start Log Collector immediately and send your log data to android@zedge.net. This way we may find out what's actually going on and hopefully fix it.

could be a Ram problem or perhaps a virus . Try booting off a cd or floppy that you can create from http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

But you'll need access to another computer for that

Easiest way is to do fresh install your windows.

To do this, please boot from your Windows CD installation, then reinstall. While reinstall, do format the installation partition.

I just purchased Norton 360 2.0 CD to install in my computer. Three hours later - not installed. I have AVG 8.0 that continues to pop up when I initiate the Norton installation, installation tben stops...

Yes you need to uninstall any and all antivirus programs installed on your computer. After uninstalling, make sure to reboot your computer. Do that for each antivirus or internet security software you have installed. Once done, it Norton 360 should install. If you have troubles uninstalling AVG, check their support area on their website. I'm not sure if you have a paid version or the free version but here are the sites for both.

Hope this helps! : )
