SanDisk Sansa c200 MP3 Player Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 08, 2008

Only half of my music shows on a computer while the other half shows on another.

I started downloading music to my sansa c200 from limewire. There are all in winamp format. Then i went on my friend's computer and put some songs on but there were all in mp3 format and i was not able to to see the other songs. So when i plug my sansa on one computer, it only show the songs that are winamp or mp3 on my friends it never shows everything. What should i do. Would it be a good idea to change them all to mp3, if so how.

Install winamp on your friends computer and see if they show up.

Are you saying the songs don't show up on the actual device on when you connect it to the computer?

  • Anonymous Jan 09, 2008

But do all the songs appear on the actual device? Did you see if all the songs appear in winamp?

    What you could do is:
    1. search for all the audio files on your player (in step 2, you may want to type this instead *.mp3, *.wma, *.m4a, *.aac, *.wav)
    2. copy them all to your pc
    3. Format your player (or just remove everything)
    4. Use winamp or other program to transfer everything back to your player from your computer

Can i download limewire on my sansa c250?

You will not be able to download Limewire to this device. You might be able to copy the installation file to it so you can install it on friend's computers and the like, but you will not be able to install it and download music from the device. You can, however, isntall Limewire on your computer, download music, and THEN transfer the music to the device.

SanDisk Sansa Clip

Use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs downloaded from Limewire to your Sansa. The first time you open Windows Media Player, it will search the "My Music" folder for songs - this may take a few minutes. Mkae sure you have Windows Media Player 10 or 11. You can either move or copy the Limewire songs to the folder called "My Music," or go into Windows Media Player and change Windows Media Player's configuration so that it can read the Limewire downloads folder.
