Hi:
You need to go to your computer manufacturer's website and download the drivers for your soundcard.

An example would be if you have a Dell computer, go to www.dell.com,
click on their support/drivers link, type in the model of your computer, and download the proper file.

Yes, that does happens. you need to reinstall, if you have on, your sound card setup.

You may have onboard reinstall progs, depending on your sys?

Before all that, if not already done so, Restore point before crash date? It may just work, but don't hold your breath.
Otherwise access your providers website, to see if you can download the missing sound card and updates.

My computer keeps shutting down randomly. Also when i try to use F10 it will not respond if i try and run error checking the system will crash/shut down or give me a black screen. Basicly it randomly...

Possibilities:
1. overheating, and automatic shutdown.
Check that the fans are working.

2. bad RAM, causing "random" crashing.
On a "good" computer, download the free 'MEMTEST86+' software, and run it, to test your RAM.

3. Leaking capacitors on motherboard, causing "voltage-spikes", leading to "random" errors.

4. Bad disk-drive. Remove the disk-drive.
Connect it as a "slave" drive in another computer,
and run 'CHKDSK' ("Check Disk") to look for problems.

My 4GB microvault wont start, it says"USB device not recognized"

This is strange as usualy these are quite reliable. It may have crashed.

If your computer is the problem then it will show in the below areas

If you are using Windows go to "control panel/ aministrative tasks/ computer management/ disc management. This will show if the disc is recognised on the system.

if not try :-

the same (control panel / administrative tasks/ computer management / device manager/ universal serial bus controller.

This will see if the card is working.

if not then the card may have been pulled out of your friends computer whilst still working. This may have caused a error on the card rendering in unusable.

Hopefuly your 4gb has not crashed.

Hope this helps

Hard drive was working good then just crashed now computer wont

I had a similar issue with a SATA drive i put into an older p4. I suggest you unhook the drive from the cables and reattach it, just to make sure the connections have not worked loose. If they are tight, then you may want to try a different port on the system board. Since I dont know if it is a SATA or EIDE, I can only assume that, based on size, it is SATA. SATA drives have great performance but cheap data cables. Try a different data cable, or a different sata port. If it is EIDE (40 pins) then make sure the cables are all tight, and please make sure that ANYTIME you work on the computer, you have the power OFF and its UNPLUGGED, so that you dont fry your mainboard. In my own case, the data cable was kinda loose, so it would work loose and drop the drive off the system, forcing me to crash and have to fix the cable and restart. I got a better sata cable and have no trouble.

My computer is still crashing/freezing

It may be because of an y virus or trogans in your pc. Just format your c drive and reload the operating system. And before accessing other drives and internet install any antivirus softwares and update it immediately when connected to net.
