The flapper is not closing all the way in the tank. if, when the handle is at rest, the flapper chain is too taut, the flapper is not closing all the way. so loosen the chain. if there is slack, the flapper is not making a good seal and is letting water through. or if in the tank the water is going over the standing up overflow tube, you need to adjust the float. if you have the ball float, lift it up slowly and see if the water stops running. if not, replace the ballcock (valve where the float is attached. if it does stop, unscrew the ball a little or bend the ball arm down a bit until the water stops short of the overflow. if you have the shuttle float, do the same test. if the water does shut off, adjust the shuttle accordingly.

I ran into the same problem with the vitra 5055. I fixed it by replacing the fill valve unit ( the thing on the left hand side with the float that is wrapped around it) you can find one of those at nearly any home store and their really easy to install/replace. The cost for one is around $10-20 and the model i found if your to look for it on the internet is a Brass Craft fill valve #BCT015.

I have a 4.8 lt flush vitra toilet when i flush hardly any water goes in the bowal to clean the sides of paper

These new style toilets are this way by design. It is designed to use less water, thus helping the. Ecology and your water bill. In effect what is happening is that the trap is lower in the bowl , thus not letting the level of water be as high in the bowl. Now matter if you pour a gallon of water to try to fill it up, it will run out until it reaches that level in the bowl.

Your water valve must be clogged with sediment in the line. It has nearly shut the water off.

check the type of fill valve that you have in the tank and check with a plumbing shop or better yet check your local lumber company as
they usually carry toilet replacement parts and you can read the instructions on how to adjust the one you have

Hello. Call your local plumbing shops. Some of them store all of the used parts for this very purpose. If they don't have a lid, they may have a source nearby. Joe

Replacement part for VitrA cistern

I trust you mean the "Flapper Valve". They are available and most hardware stores.
Get a Universal type as they fit most units. Take the old one with you. If you turn the water off at the wall it will stop it from running while you're away
