Question about Televison & Video
I have a 19'' technika tv (model:- M19/20A-GB-TCDI-UK) with built in dvd, ipod and freeview, less than 1 year old.
Since it had to be retuned around the end of September (i forget the exact date), i have lost over half the channels that should be available, and were before retuning, most of the others only receive a very poor signal. All the bbc channels and the other terrestrial channels are ok but virtually all the freeview channels are having problems.
Most of the channels with a '+1' service only receive one or the other e.g. I can get e4 but not e4+1.
My tv is connected to the same aerial as two other tvs in the house and they both work perfectly.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Loss of BBC channels
You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information
If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

Sounds like you haven't retuned the set correctly. Use the factory settings/ default setting if poss. Look out for too much signal if you are on a booster.

When TV channels are moved from one frequency to another frequency that was previously used by a different channel (sorry, but there's no simple way of saying that !) as has happened recently in th UK, some digital TVs and digiboxes struggle to sort the channel list out properly and channels can go missing as you describe.
If your equipment has the option to delete all currently stored channels (normally in the tuning menu options) then do so and then do a full re-tune.
Sometimes, this solves the problem as the equipment is no longer aware of any previous use of a frequency and just loads every channel it finds.
If this doesnt work, or your equipment doesnt have the option, then there is normally the option soemwhere in the menus to retore the item to "factory defaults/configuration". This will clear all previously stored channels and after a full re-tune your missing chanels should be there. However, any other configuration changes you previously made, e.g picture size, output type (RGB/NSCT/etc), etc will be lost and you'll need to set these again.
NB. some regions of the country have lost some channels temporarily now until after the switch over programme completes at the end of 2012. If you visit the Freeview website, this will tell you if your area is affected.
