Trying to get hp c6180 all-in-one printer to work with windows vista

This means that your system does not display any printer name under the printer's list even though you would have installed your wireless printer on your Windows Vista system. download the drivers, double click on the file and follow instructions, DONT connect the printer until the software asks you to

disable User Account control

if your desktop and laptop connected with same network then open the printer windows on the desktop computer, do the right click on it and select the share option.

after that select the share for everone and click on ok.


then on vista computer open the printer windows and click on add printer after that you will get the option local printer or network printer.

Select the option "network printer: and click on next and click on find the printer and select the printer and click on finish.

It is possiblethat the all in one solution software you used in XP doesn't work with Vista, after some update or other. You did the right thing by uninstalling and reinstalling. Make sure you have the correct driver from the HP site..

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

1. Click on files tab at the top in Window Photo Gallery.
2. Click on import from camera or scanner.
3. Highlight your scanner icon (ie HP C6180) then click import.
4. New scan window will popup, now you can preview or scan using this basic looking Vista utility.

delay is normally caused due to fault with the driver or software.try uninstalling the driver and software and reinstalling them.
