Picture is vertically too big the heads dont fit the screen?

Hi,
Thanks for any help, the picture is too big for the screen. The bottom of the picture and the top is off the screen so I cant see the tops of anyone's heads. I tried the different settings and although it will make the picture horizontally smaller vertically its too big.

What are you watching the tv with when you see it? In other words, if it's a cable box, who is the cable box provider?

This answer is generic because I do not know the particular model:

You should call the tech support for your set. This may be a fault in the way the address processing is being performed for the display. Sometimes, depending on the model, the service rep can fix this by re-loading the firmware for the set's operation. I have seen failures in the main drive processor for the screen cause this. The solution was to change the board.

You have a vertical problem. You have bad capacitors next to the vertical IC. There may be leaky diode, a bad resistor and the Vertical IC may need resoldered or replaced. This is a good start for repairing your TV. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

Horizonal and vertical off.

My picture is too big for my screen also, I have a 27 inch screen and I can't see the scrolling tickers on the bottom and the baseball score readout on the top. When I turn the tv on, the heads are huge on the top and that finally comes into proportion, but it goes too far. I can't find a horozontal or vertical control in the manual or on the tv menu. What can I do?

2-inch picture stripe in middle of screen.

deight, your set is going into total vertical collapse, either the vertical IC is failing or some support component to the vertical circuit is failing, should not be an expensive repair, hope this helps, BMW Rider
