    Same problem

My 4-month old Bosch "Ascenta" SHE4AM12UC wouldn't go thru a whole cycle, stopping w/dirty dishes and dirty water that would not drain. Filters are clean. Got plumber to look at floor drain (OK). We started and canceled "quick wash" 3 times. Each time he saw water coming out, but only on the 3rd try did dishwasher drain completely. What's up? Anyone know?

    - Plumber did straighten dishwasher drain tube to avoid kinks during our 3 tests. Lowe's installer claimed a floor drain would be OK. Their service dept. said problem must be our plumbing (and our expense!). I had plumber move drain tube to go thru disposal instead. So far (1 day), dishwasher is working and draining fine.

IMost often something has just jamed the drain impeller, take out the filter plate in the bottom, then in the sump to the right side is the cover to the drain impeller. It has one screw in it a
T-20 torx take that out then lift up on the cover. After that use your finger to turn the impeller if it is jammed you will need to find what is blocking it then reassmble

SOURCE: Stopping the Cancel/Drain Cycle

Disconnect the Drain Hose from the plumbing under the sink and using a bucket hold the hose in the bucket and attempt to drain the dishwasher. If you have a disposal and recently replaced it, the knockout plug may be still inside where the drain hose attaches into the disposal. To determine if it is still there, using a screwdriver, stick the screwdriver into the drain hose hole on the side of the disposer and if you feel blockage then the knockout plug is still in the disposer and will need to come out. To remove the plug use a short screwdriver and a hammer and place the screwdriver into the drain and strike the top of the screwdriver once and the plug should pop out of the disposal. Be careful not to hit the disposal too hard or to damage any plumbing. Reattach the drain hose and you should be all set. When you remove the drain hose if the machine is flashing an error code, go to the circuit breaker box and turn off the breaker for the dishwasher, wait 5 mins and turn it back on. This should reset the board and the machine should operate properly.

Dishwasher won't drain.Leaves several inches of water in bottom of unit after cycle is complete

Check for blockages in the base of the dishwasher under filter etc.
Also make sure the kitchen drain is clear and if you have garbage disposer run it prior to running the dishwasher.

Also need to confirm if the dishwasher pump is actually operating during the drain cycle. If the pump is faulty then it will not drain. Provide full model number of dishwasher if you need further assessment of the problem. Good luck.

Green start button won't stop blinking

START/RESET status indicator light flashing

You have pressed the indicator light flashing START/RESET pad while the START/RESET dishwasher is running. This will cancel the cycle. The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains (about 90 seconds).

Press the pad once to start the dishwasher. Press the pad a second time when the dishwasher is running only if you wish to cancel the cycle.

Power to the dishwasher was turned off while a cycle was running and power has just been restored to the dishwasher. The blinking lights indicate that the dishwasher is draining the potential water inside.

The light will stop flashing after the dishwasher drains. A new cycle will start automatically.

Good luck

Dishwasher runs though cycles but fails to drain in the final cycle

Hi...

If you dishwasher fails to drain you need to check this following:

  • Check sink drain and drain hose for restrictions
The drain hose and recirculation hoses can be responsible for leaks. The drain hose can cause the dishwasher to fail to drain properly. The recirculation hose can be responsible for problems with poor rinsing of dishes.
  • Unjam the motor
  • Unjam the pump
  • Check the drain valve
  • Check the drive belt
  • Test the timer motor
The timer motor regulates the length of time power is routed to each component. If the timer motor does not function properly, it can result in a wide range of problems. Common symptoms include sticking in a cycle, cycle times running too long, or failure of the dishwasher to start at all.
  • If you have a brand new dishwasher or garbage disposer, check the knock out plug on the garbage disposer.

Good luck !!!

Bosch dishwasher has water in bottom after cycle is complete

Hi

Kindly check for the following :

Check for hose kinks or food plugging drain hose. Start at the drain port exit.
Check the check valve and drain hose for debris.
Check pump motor for reversing during the pump out make sure the dishwasher is pausing between the wash and drain cycles letting the pump/motor reverse for the drain cycle.
Check pump motor assembly for a drain solenoid, during the pump out make sure the solenoid makes that distinctive "clunk" noise
If you have recently installed a new garbage disposal, check knock-out plug at connection.

Check pump impeller for damage.
Check that the water inlet valve isn't seeping fresh water into the dishwasher when off.

Please contact for any further clarifications.

A Fixya Rating would be appreciated if.

Thanks

Meile G638 I Plus dishwasher

Problem solved, the dishwasher starts its wash cycle with a drain sequence, the pan did not drain in time for the wash cycle to continue , thererfor locking it out on inlet/drain alarm. I removed the drain hose from the S trap, then the non-return valve from the filter basket, made sure the drain pump impelar was free, blew down the drain hose back into dishwasher to clear any waste in the pipe, then found a block in the S trap orifis, after clearing that, reasembled and test run on cold pre wash cycle this runs for aprox 10 min.customer was very happy.
