On a System Recovery it rolls your system back to recovery point where it was functioning properly. Only the Operating System and Programs are restored to original working order. Things like document, pictures, emails, etc. are not affected. If you recently installed a program to cause this, your best bet is a System Recovery.

hi,
it does appear that even create 4 didn't have windows 7 support. You may try installing and then changing to windowsxp compatible mode by right clicking the icon and selecting properties and the compatibility tab then place a check in "run this program in compatibility mode" and choose windopws xp. and or install virtual PC with windowsxp compatible then install and run your older software in a virtual machine.

My pc keeps either freezing or crashing altogether, this only seems to happen when i am surfing facebook ,or pictures on the web,I can watch youtube,or movies with no crashes at all,I've scanned for viruses...

Im guessing XP and if you have the CD do whats called a repair install. Choose the upgrade option then install it, this will not harm any of your programs at all you will just have to do all the windows updates when its finished. Cheers and please vote

My computer is freezing up constantly

It would be best if you do a series of tests for virus and malware infection. This is the most common cause for slowdowns of PCs. Here's a great tutorial for improving PC security using free programs.
Another problem may be some new programs or updates you installed. If you can pinpoint the time when these slowdowns started, and you can relate it with a program you installed at that time, then chances are this new program/update is causing the PC to stall.
Lastly, if nothing helps from the software side, then your PC may be suffering from a failing power supply unit. Desktop PCs older than 2 years are prone to this kind of a failure. If this is the case, you'll need to either get a new power supply unit, or repair the one you have. New PSUs are about $30-50 for low to mid range products, and the repair may cost less if you find a good computer repair shop or a TV repair shop. Most common failure in PSUs are the capacitors at the output, which serve as current stabilizers.

If this was helpful and informative please vote with a Thumb Up. Thank you.

Error message at start up. Running windows xp. HP Pavilion a700N PC desktop. The message is: This application has failed to start because hpzjrd01.dllwas not found. re-installing the applicationmay fix...

To fix hpzjrd01.dll errors occurring due to corrupt or incomplete installation of HP printer software, uninstall your printer driver and reinstall it again.

To ensure the HP printer software is completely uninstalled from your system, we recommend you either use the built-in Add or Remove Programs utility or use the help of a third-party uninstaller, such as Perfect Uninstaller.

My computer won't boot.

This would be a good time to recover or roll back what you did, There must have been a change in your configeration.

I am unable to start up my computer at all... I can't get to my desktop to even try to fix the problem... what do i do? The message says: We apologize for the inconvience, but windows did not start...

You must have come in contact with a virus. Does your friend have the capability of slaving your hard drive to his to remove your data. If so, then he or you can reinstale the operating system.

Windows wx start up failure

The shut down caused a system glitch. You will need to run a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. Rare, but occasionally, the hard drive crashes under these circumstances and will need to be replaced. Usually if this happens, the hard drive was on it's way out anyway, and would have crashed eventually.

Computer will not start

Hello,

Choose Last Known Good Configuration. If that doesn't work, choose Safe Mode and then do a system restore to roll back your PC.

Office Jet K60xi Scanner Failure

Try HP's web site suggestions first.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01077492&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=61736

If your sacnner still fails to function, uninstall everything for the Officejet through add/remove in control panel. (Power off printer before uninstalling).
Go to Hp's web site. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html#Support
Step 1. Click, Download drivers and software (and firmware).
Go to step 2. For product, type in Officejet k60xi .
Power on your printer. (Wait for printer to fully power on).
Click, Start Detection>> button.
Allow HP to scan your system & install the latest software.
Follow the on scren instructions. (When finished, restart your PC). Test your scanner by scanning something.
If your scanner still fails to scan, you may be missing basic HP files loaceted in windows system & windows system32 folders.
(These missing files were not installed during your install of windows). Not your fault.
