Question about Computers & Internet
If you are using Windows XP the best way to solve this problem is to create a new user (found under Control Panel - User Accounts) select Create a New Account (This should be under a name you are happy using) and make sure it is a computer administrator in the next screen.
Shut the computer down and restart, log on as the new user. You can now delete the old account by going back into User Accounts. This will remove all the old settings.
The procedure is very similar in Vista and Windows 7.
