I just replaced my factory stereo in my 2002 honda accord. i have two red wires left over that appear to be my dash lights. i dont know where to connect these two wires to make the dash lights come on when...

I have no idea about the wire that puts out gear position lights. But the one that makes dash be on constantly, is the memory wire for radio. You do need continuous power for radio to remember stored radio stations, audio adjustments and last source selected. Most aftermarket radios have two power cables, red and yellow, one is switched, meaning that it only gets power when vehicle is turned on, and the other one gets electricity constantly.

I have a 05 suzuki sv650 .. im trying to hook up some LEDs in the front and dont want to go all the way in the back with the wiring for power and ground. so i was going to splice into the turn signals jus...

Im not sure if you are UK based, but remember the turn signals flash, their power supply will receive an on/off supply from the indicator relay.
You do have your ignition up front, so you could trace a switched feed from your ignition switch (i.e. 12volts is found when you switch on).
For the earth return, you can use any ground wire (even the indicator one) in the 'area'.
LEDs draw very little current, so it is unlikely you will overload any circuit.
Good luck!

The color of the wires from my old and new radio dont match up!?

Jags are definitely a pure breed. The new radio most likely has writing on the wires that tell where they are to be connected to. I take that back. I just checked the wiring of an older model JVC unit and there or not listings. If your radios doesn't have writing just remember Orange(or yellow) is illumination, and it goes to the fuse block; red is power, going to the fuse block; the big black one is the ant.; the little one is the ground to the chassis. The others are speakers. Connect them to the colors they are closely resembling in your Jag. Connect the power and turn on your radio. You can reconnect the lines to the correct speaker by checking each speaker. hope this helps.

No dash lights or dimmer control after installing a stereo system

you have to run a jump wire to you cluster when you pull the factory unit out the aftermarket units are wired just a little different find your illumination wire should be orange and make sure it is wired correctly you may have to tie it in to a different wire,,,, i did this on several gm trucks i cant remember which wire i had to jump it to but i belive i tied the amp and illumantion wires together and made it work your fuse will protect you from doing any damage if you should jump the wrong wire...
