At the bottom of page 3 of manual (link provided below) in the "Technical Specifications" section, indicates it has 800 watts of cooking power. The 1200 watt rating is the total electrical load on the circuit that is required to run fans, lights, etc. in addition to the 800 watts for cooking.

Here's the link:

I hope this helps!

Whoops! Not "...in addition to the 800 watts for cooking", but rather *INCLUDING* the 800 watts for cooking!

What is the wattage

it all depends on what you're trying to measure, the wattage used or the wattage output. the handbook will tell you these figures. if you don't have the handbook, you can google for it using the model number and the word manual

I need to know the wattage of my magic chef oven model 6898VV

Hi Nadia,

There's little to be found on the internet for this model oven now. There should be a name plate / manufacturer's sticker either inside the door - on the jamb; or on the rear near the power cord. If you see a rating given as "120VAC / 1200W" this would indicate INPUT wattage, which would be higher than the amount used for cooking. A typical 1200W rated microwave might have 800 - 1000 Watts of cooking power. If there are 2 ratings for wattage like 120V / 1200W / 850W; the 850 Watts is the amount of cooking power. The cooking power - or wattage - is always lower than the total wattage. If you see a rating somewhere that indicates 900W cooking power, then that would be the cooking power of the oven.

If you're not satisfied or unsure about the information you're finding on the oven - or it is missing - you might want to contact Magic Chef Customer Service Department at (888) 775-0202. They should be able to help you - or pint you in the right direction.

Good luck!

I have a panasonic inverter microwave model #nn-S540BFWR. What is the wattage on this model or where can I locate the wattage

The output wattage is 1100 watts. It can be found on the second page of the operating instruction manual. If you don't have one, you can download it at retrevo.com, just enter the model number and get a pdf of the manual. Hope this helps you.

Can not determine the wattage of the microwave we bought. It is a GE microwave model #JNM1851DM4BB

There is no reference to this model on the GE website, but have a look at this webpage:

http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?Name=340104_jvm1851bhchshwh_r3.pdf&RequestType=PDF

The wattage of this model JVM1851 is 1100W.

If the model is a counter top unit, you can check whether there is a plate at the back of the oven with the wattage on it.

My son needs to know the wattage of our stove , it is a kenmore self cleaning oven. I don't know the model because we are renters

The model number on many ranges is located on a plate that is on the frame in front of the right or left front leveling leg of the range. To view this plate, pull the bottom drawer out. On some ranges, the model number plate is located on one side of the oven door opening. You may find it in this location on your range. You may even find the wattage on this label. Once you find the model # click below to find the manual for the specs if you do not find the wattage on the label.

Manual Search

Hope this helps.
