I doubt it is a switch, but more likely that the installer either (1) did not turn the water supply back on again after reconnecting or (2) has pinched / crushed the line when putting the fridge back in place. You can do the checks in whichever order you like - but realize if it is pinched / crushed, turning the valve in the steps below won't fix it.

Slide the fridge out carefully. Locate the water supply line and inspect for evidence of the line being crushed. If it is, you'll probably have to replace at least the damaged portion, or the entire length. If no evidence of being damaged, continue.

Look carefully at the cold water pipe(s) near the fridge - this could be under a nearby sink or even in the basement if the fridge is on the first floor. Look for a strap that is clamped to a 3/4 inch or so copper pipe that has a narrow (1/4 inch) copper or white / gray plastic tube coming from it - and run toward the fridge.

Near the smaller tube on the clamp, you should see a very small handle to a valve. Turn it in one direction or the other. If it will only turn in one direction, it is possible that it was in the OFF position when you found it (although it may be on but the crushed line is preventing water flow). Most of these valves turn several times before they are fully open, but some can also leak when open all the way, so I suggest you either open it just a few turns; or open fully and then turn the opposite direction a full turn.

I hope this helps!

Allow 30 minutes (or up to an hour) for the ice maker to produce.

He probably turned off the water connection in the basement where the tube connects to the water main. there is a little t handle you have to turn clockwise.

Fridge warm, freezer has frost on back panel & is defrosting, fans work, just changed defrost thermostat, no air is moving from freezer side to fridge side, drain pan under fridge is dry

this fan needs to run when the compressor runs, check fan blade for being jammed by ice if you have this much ice on back wall as ice will stall motor,if no fan there will be no cool air to refrige compartment also the defrost drain tray will fill with water then freeze over which in turn floods the freezer floor and refrige compartments cause it cannot drain to the pan in the bottom

Water leaking inside refrig. and then freezing in lower bins

your drain tube is blocked with a ice dam and there is ice under the freezer floor. Removing the rear panel and floor will give you access to removing the ice and clearing the drain.

Water accumulates and freezes at the bottom of our freezer. Once the bottom of the freezer has formed a slab of ice the water eventually drains out of front of freezer and leaves a good size puddle on our...

your refrig. goes through a periodic defrost cycle whereby this water is produced. It is supposed to travel down to the evaporation pan near the floor of the frig. Your evaportation pan may be clogged, remove the front lower panel and get a flashlight and examine it., or the tube leading from the freezer floor may be clogged or have ice it it. Check that out and if the opening of the tube has ice in it, melt it with a hair blow dryer

good attempt, its actually a clogged drain thats backing up and your drain water is not able to leave refrig so it falls to bottom of freezer floor and eventually out the door. romve the items from the freezer and take the lower back wall off form inside, directly under the evaporator under all that ice there is a drain hole, youll need to clear that hole of iec( pouring boiling water down until you get a free flow of water then you can reassemble uint problem solved

Loud banging noise and water leaking

not much can be done about compressore noise, short of replacing it. but your drain issue is easily fixed, with that whirlpool heat strap you mentioned.it actually wraps around the heater in frezer section and the idea is that when the unit goes into a defrost cycle(3 or 4 times a day) the heater heats the strap(which runs into drain tube) up as well, preventing tube from freeezing up and eventually backing up into your freezer floor

Water leaking onto floor

unplug it again , sounds like your drain line has frozen, instaead of defrost water going down the tube and under refrig in drain pan, becuse tube is frozen its draining into freezer compartment and eventually spilling out through front of unit. totally defrost unit and behind back wall of freezer youll see a metal trough designed to catch water, in the center (under the ice is gonna be the drain hole, pour boiling water down until it runs freely
