Question about ASUS A8N-E Motherboard
I have changed the processor in A8N-E mo-bo (AMD Athlon 3000+ --> AMD Athlon 4200 X2). Unfortunately one of the new processor's pins was deformed and after the removal was broken...
I put the old 3000+ processor into the mo-bo.
When I put a memory stick in A slot (A1 or A2) on start the monitor is dark, and beeep ----- beeep ----- beeep emitted.
This sticks (2 Kingston 512 Mb PC3200) works fine in B slot.
Before my action the sticks were in A1 & B1 slots and the config was perfect (3 years ago).
