Yeap!
Check behind the battery if the S/N of your device starts with "HT627", If it does it needs to go to an HTC service center cause they have to apply some service advisories and correct the problem in warranty.
If it's not this serial then you need to change the LCD.

Screen not aligned

Ref. HP ipaq hx4700: "Align screen" after hard reset or battery loss. I know others have had trouble getting past the "align screen" setup; I saw a suggestion somewhere that said the points were registered incorrectly (maybe in some, but not all of this model?); and they had to tap at locations other than the center of the cross symbol. I tried a variety of combinations, and found that if I tap ABOVE the center (but still on the vertical centerline) for the middle, top left and top right locations; and tap BELOW the center (but still on the vertical centerline) for the bottom left and bottom right...it worked. That brought me to the "Stylus" setup screen...which I also became "stuck" on. So far, I haven't found a solution to THAT issue yet. Gee, why can't they make these things simpler?

Stuck on align screen...

You must tap the exact center of the '+' symbol with the stylus pen 5 times: at the middle and at each corner of the screen (it will move itself as you go tapping). If you miss one of them, even slightly, the process will be restarted.

Hope you are able to align your screen and move on.

Cheers! Carlos

The screen is stuck on the align screen i reset the phone and attempted to reload windows mobile and when the align screen came up i tapped it but it wont go away

Did you perform a hard reset? To do this:

  1. Slide open the device to expose the QWERTY keyboard.
  2. Press and hold the center of the 5-way navigation pad.

  3. While holding the center of the 5-way navigation pad, use the stylus to gently press and release the reset button.

  4. When Clearing Data... appears on the screen, release the center of the 5-way navigation pad.
  5. When prompted, tap the screen to setup the device.

Hx2415 stuck on align screen

i think you have a problem with you touch screen digitizer. you can send your device to a repair center to replace the TP only, without the need od replacing the entire LCM display panel.
A touch panel withou the lCD should cost much less than an LCD.

I have same problem but found a work-around. I have found that 2 SD cards kept in the pockets in the flip over cover of my leather case has caused scuffing to the touch screen and the screen will now not align properly. In the alignmet utility I have to tap the centre of the alignment cross in the middle and 2 top positions and tap about 3mm above the cross in the bottom 2 positions (portrait format). This means of course that the bottom of the screen is out of alignment and I have to tap high at the bottom of the screen but I have got used to it. Not great, I know, but its better than nothing.

This happened to me also. Drain the battery completeley and then do it again. You may have to do it a couple times but it will finally take.
