According to the Nikon Support Webpage:

The F-- error message is indicating the camera and lens are not communicating. Either the lens is not designed with electronic contacts, or maybe the lens is not connected fully and clicked in to place. Make sure if the lens is a CPU lens, that it is completely connected onto the cameras bayonet lens mount. You will hear a "click" when the lens is locked in place.

Nikkon 1 taking picture looks blurrry

Your posting is confusing. On the one hand you say that the problem is with a Nikon 1 camera and on the other hand you are saying that the problem is with a D90. These are two very different camera systems. If it is a Nikon 1, it is a new camera and within the one year warranty. You should contact Nikon on there website. If, on the other hand, it is a D90, the first thing you need to do is determine if the problem is in the camera body or the lens. The easiest way to do that is to switch lenses. If you do not have another lens, go to a camera store and they will probably be happy to let you try one of there lenses on your camera. Once you know where the problem is, we can decide how to proceed.

I am not able to take a snapshot through liveview of Nikkon D90? Tried all possible combinations but in vain. Any solution?

I don't know what you have tried but, the Live View button is just to the right of the LCD screen and just above the "OK" button. Pushing this button takes you into live view, it's not instant because of some of the internal functions the camera needs to do before displaying on the screen. Might take a second or two. By pressing the button again takes you back to "normal" viewfinder.

Setting auto focus mode for the Live View is accomplished in Custom Settings Menu a 7 I think.

Oh, don't forget to take the lens cap off cause all you'll see is a black screen

I have a nikon d90,when i pressed shutter button ,it is giving err message then i press second time it is not giving err message but not taking the photo.

This is an indication that the camera is not "talking" to the lens correctly. When you press the shutter button, the camera tries to focus, set light levels, and then shoot the picture. If it can't focus or set F-stop and shutter speed, then it can't shoot the picture and gives you the error indication. SO
1. You need to make sure the lens is an automatic lens capable of working with the D90. 2. You can take the lens off and back onto the camera a few times in case its a dirty contact issue or just didn't seat correctly. 3. Set the D90 to manual and make sure you move the AF selector on the front to M. Then you would manually adjust all the settings. That should take the auto-coupling out of the picture (pun intended)
4. If it still shows error when in total manual mode, there may be something wrong in the camera itself. Before giving up, do a total system reset on the D90 (I assume you have the manual).

Error message in D 90 camera

I had the same problem (same kit). I even exchanged the kit for a new one, and had the same issue. I'm convinced it's the connection between the camera and the lense - when I wiggled the lense, it would sometimes return to normal. I considered cleaning the contact points, but then the problem went away. I've been shooting hundreds of times, without it happening once.

Keep getting error when trying to take pics

I have had similar problmes, but it seems to be associated with me attaching the flash.. It seems that they happen randomly. I would recommend removing your lense and reinstalling it as it might be a contact issue. I haven't had it happen lately though.
