Question about Fahrenheat FBE15002 Baseboard Heater
Electric baseboard heater worked last week. when I turn the wall control on there is a clicking, which tells me that the there is power. the marretts connecting the wires is secure. The breaker is a double pull so it must be 220 volts. could the problem be with the copper wire (sensor) that runs the length. I painted the covers of the baseboard heater and did move/replacced them back into their cradles very carefully.? I checked and clean the end tip (not where the wires come in) with a very a fine emery board to remove any paint or dirt (visable). Not sure what to do next. HELP.
The wall thermostat will click even if there is no power. You will need an electric metere to trace down the problem. May be a bad breaker, bad limit switch or the element could have went bad. You need to follow the electric and see what is interupting the flow.
