Re: PRO 900x died
For all three to go out at the same time with a little click sounds like a thermo switch. Look for button type silver in color and two wires from it. With an ac tester check with power on to see if you get voltage on both sides or at both connections. Naturally one side of your tester has to be grounded to get 110vac reading on either side of the thermo switch. I f power only on one side you have a bad switch.

it might be the main power supply box inside that gave up since the fuse aint blown there isint a big issue i recomend you take to a servive center and ask them to see if the power supply is good or went bad
sounds like the clicking may be the high voltage trying to ignite the lamp. when it does come on the picture is very bad. Did the lamp seem to shine very brightly through the fan vent when it did come on that time when the picture was dim.
How many hours has the lamp been used for.
Check the air filter for dust etc.
See if you can borrow a spare lamp, and test it in the machine
Time to replace the lamp of you projector.Lighting up of the orange light indicates that. All the projectors comes with self disorganizingprogram. if there is any complaintexcept power supply that will indicated by the projector by its self disorganizing system.
switch OFF the projector for some time. then power it ON. if picture come then first of all reset the lamp hour timer. To do the same do the follwing
1. Press the menu button and press rear click button or select button
2. Select settings press the rear click or select button
3. On setting display select Lamp age and press the rear click or select button
4. Move the arrow to Yes and press the rear click select button
OK will displayed and wait for your conformation
5. Move the arrow to Yes and press the rear click or select button
if there is no picture when you switch on the projector then go for a new lamp. you hve to do the reset procedure after replacing the lamp. It is alwaysrecommended the you should reset the lamp hour only after replacing the lamp.
clean out your projector. if there is a lot of dust and/or no air flow, the lamp will overheat and die. it needs to cool. use canned air and blow out any and all dust from inside the projector. make sure the fans work. also, don't buy lamps from "bob's lamps". get it from a reputable benq dealer.
If your colorwheel and fans do not start spinning up, then it's not a lamp issue. The lamp will only strike if the colorwheel is already spinning. It's a safety feature to prevent burning the colorwheel. If your projector is completely dead ie no fans or colorwheel, then it's either the power supply or the controller board that has died, in that order.
I have a 3 yr old AE900U dont know exact hours but prob at least 2000 hrs. about every other start up, the projector would flash little box; (replace lamp now). now a month later lamp wont come on. So this is prob the normal way a lamp will die. anything else might be another problem.
