Any well stocked hardware store will have a replacement thumbscrew. Bring the diagonal to the store to get the proper screw.

Hi
That is a stripped thumbscrew. You need a new one. When it starts to brew, the stripped thumbscrew pushes up and allows the coffee to fill the head and dredge drawer. The plastic rod that has 2 small hooks on the end and has ribs around the opposite end is your thumbscrew. It holds the filter screen in place. There is suppose to be a small round nut that is molded into the position between the legs with the hooks. If you use the key to tighten the thumbscrew you will pull the nut out and then the thumbscrew will pop out of the brew head. Check the stem of the filter screen. If you have an item that is about 3/8 of an inch long and has a grove in the middle and small bumps on it, that's the nut. You need a new thumbscrew. Remove the old nut on the stem before putting it in the new thumbscrew. Remember it's a thumbscrew, so it only needs to be finger tight. The key is for removing only.

Need a replacement wrench for taking apart to clean

Hi
You can use an Allen wrench to remove the thumbscrew. It will go in the end of the thumbscrew but don't use it to install the thumbscrew. Its a thumbscrew, that means finger tight. More thumbscrews are ruined by people using the key to tighten, pulling the nut out of the end and then water fills the dredge drawer and they wonder why!

The plastic part that the eye pieces fit into is broken is there a way to get a replacement part for it?

First it's only a plastic part because of the telescope you bought. Usually a diagonal is all metal.

Many companies sell diagonals they come ion 3 sizes .965, 1.25, and 2 inch sizes. Measure the hole in the back of the telescope and buy the correct size.

Here are two retailers:

You can buy a diagonal from many on line retailers-- here is one:

They all come with a thumbscrew(s) to hold the eyepiece.

Hi
More than likly you have a striped thumbscrew. That is the item that holds the filter screen in on the brew unit. If you use the key to tighten the thumb screw you will pull the nut out of the thumb screw and they is nothing to hold the filter screen in and it leaks past the thumbscrew into the drege drawer. If you remove the brew unit and there is water in the pocket by the thumbscrew its striped and needs to be replaced. Be sure to remove the extra nut on the filter screen before installing the new thumbscrew.

Leeks coffee into grounds container

HI
You have a stripped thumbscrew. Check the top left side of the brew unit. The thumbscrew is the little rod that sticks out of the top of the center part of the brew head. If there is water in the center cavity that's your problem. If you push down on the rod and check your brerw head screen on the other end it is probably pushed out a little. Pry the screen out, and you should see a barrel nut in the middle of the screw stem. Pull the thumbscrew out from the other end.

Kitchenaid mixer fell off the counter - thumbscrew

Yes, the upper case is available as a seperate part. Any authorised KitchenAid repairer should be able to get hold of the part and make the repair.
