Need to block caller on att cell

posible solution. ring your phone company eg 2 Degrees, Vodafone, Telecom there is a bit of a prosses to go through tell them you whould like to bar a number from contacting you depending on the situation they may require you to do a little recording of information eg write down times and dates of message or call and what was said they should then bar this number from ever being able to contact you. or simple solution get a new sim card $5 is a small price to pay to be free lol.

How could i block my Cell Phone Number From Caller ID

  1. Just dial *67 before the phone number on your cell phone. This code is the universal command to deactivate caller ID.

For example, placing a blocked call would look like*67 555 555 5555 (without the spaces). On the receiving end, caller ID will usually display "private number" because it has been blocked.

Though you won't hear or see a confirmation of a successful caller ID block, it will work.

Every time I get a text message it alerts me by saying "Message from _____" and then the name of the person. I want to silent this feature but I cannot find the feature to do that.

What kind of vacuum is this anyway???

I will try to help you with your problem even though you have not identified your make and model phone and you are in the wrong category. I will try to help you by telling you what I would do with my phone to change this setting. The procedure for changing your phone is probably different ... but perhaps you will get some insight from my remarks.

This is for calls and messages - My phone is a **** style LG. On the left side there are two buttons. I press the bottom one to get a menu list. Next I press the Right Soft Key called 'settings'. Next I select item number 6 called "call alert" I press OK. My three options are ( ) ring only or ( ) Caller ID and Ring ( ) Name Repeat.

I use (>) caller ID + ring and I hear the number or the name of the caller if in my phone book then the ring I have selected for that caller or texter.

Specific for messages ... I select Settings & Tools then I select Sound Settings then I select Alert Sounds then I select Test Messages and then I make my setting.

I hope this assists you with your settings even though I feel you probably dont have the same phone as I.
